General O'Neill had almost finished his briefing with his premier team when Thor teleported into the room.
“Greetings O'Neill.”
“Thor, what can I do for you?”
“The Asgard have become concerned that you have not found a fourth member for SG-1.”
“Well, I don't want to add just anyone.”
“Indeed. However, I believe that I have an excellent candidate for the position. We found him stranded on a remote planet several months ago. While he has not been able to fit in with the Asgard, he seems quite adaptable.”
“Thor, no offense but...”
The general was in midsentence when Thor teleported out of the room. A second flash revealed Thor's choice for SG-1's fourth. O'Neill couldn't have made a sound if his life depended on it.
SG-1 was similarly silent. Carter was fixated by his ears. Teal'c held himself rigid in an attempt to combat tremors of horror. Daniel shook his head in disbelief.
“Meesa is happy to be joining yousa.”
