AUTHOR'S NOTES: This was our very first story.

SG1 is on vacation now; Jack and Sam want to make a bike trip to another planet. They go to General Hammond to ask if it is possible.

Jack: Sir, would it be possible to go to another planet for our vacation?

Hammond: Yes, sure, but what are you going to do there?

Sam: We want to go on a bike trip, sir.

Hammond: Isn't it too dangerous?

Jack: Oh no, I don't think so. It's a harmless planet, sire. It's P4X-653.

Hammond: Ok. When are you going?

Jack: Tomorrow.

Hammond: Well, it will be prepared.

Next morning. Jack goes to Sam to pick her up.

Jack: Are you ready?

Sam while she takes her last baggage: Yes, sir. Let's go!

Both go to the Stargate.

Jack: We're ready.

Hammond: Ok. Be careful!

Sam: Yes, sir. Bye!

Hammond: Bye ... Jack? If you're not back till Monday, we'll have to close the Iris and you can't go back.

Jack: We know, sir. Bye.

They go through the Stargate. At the other side.

Jack looking around: Wow!

Sam: It's wonderful, isn't it?

Jack: Yeah. Come on. Let's go.

Sam: All right sir.

They start riding. After a few miles they see a village.

Sam: Look! It seems like ...

Jack: ... a village where nobody lives?

Sam: Yes, sir. But why?

Jack looks a bit like he doesn't understand what Sam says.

Sam: Well, I mean why did they go?

Jack: I know what you mean!

Sam looks sheepish: Yeah. Sure.

They decided to go on with their bike trip, because it gets dark and they want to find a comfortable place where they can pitch their tent. After a while.

Sam: Here, sir. It seems like it could be a nice place.

Jack: Ok. We'll stay here. And tomorrow we'll go back to the Stargate ... I'm very tired. I think we should sleep now.

Sam: Yes, sir. Sleep well.

Jack: Good night. Sleep well.

Suddenly the earth starts to shake.

Jack: Holy cow, what's happening, Carter?

Sam: It was just an earthquake, sir. Not even 4.9.

Jack: Um ... yes, Sure.

Sam goes to Jack: Look. The place where an earthquake starts is called epicentric. From the epicentric the oscillation moves concentric over the whole earth. The determination from the distance of an epicentric carries out with the help of a seismic ...

Jack: Carter!

Sam: ... time elapsed curve. Then you use the arrival of the different shafts ...

Jack: CARTER!!! I know what an earthquake is! Now, good night!

Sam: Um, sorry sir. I forgot I shouldn't think.

Next morning. Jack and Sam go back to the Stargate.

Sam while she looks around: Um, sir. Have you seen the Stargate?

Jack looks around, too: No!

Sam: Ok. Let me think. Right, a cleft could have been formed by the tremor, so the Stargate could have fallen into it.

Jack: Um, thank you Carter ... that means?

Sam: We can't go back.

Jack: Well, then we've got a problem.

Sam: Yes, sir.

Intro

Jack and Sam look for the Stargate.

Sam: So, where do you think the Stargate might be?

Jack: You're asking me? You should know this, but from what you said earlier it couldn't be that far away.

Sam with a little smile on her face: Or it's destroyed, sir.

Jack: Don't play jokes on me ... well, we'll have to ride home then, huh?

Sam smiles at him.

Jack carries on: I think we should go back to that place where we slept last night.

Jack while he goes away with Sam: And Carter?

Sam: Yes, sir?

Jack: I'm really, really HUNGRY!

Sam laughs: Yes, sir.

After a few days all their supply was used up and still no sign of the Stargate. Jack looks for some more food.

Jack after he returns: I found some of these berry type things.

Sam: They could be poisonous, sir.

Jack: Oh, I don't think so. They look like raspberries. And Carter, the red ones are mine!

Sam: Why?

Jack: Because I like the color.

Sam laughs: Ok, whatever, just give them to me.

Jack while he's eating the berries: All right, calm down Carter ...

Jack wondering: Oh!

Sam: Sir? ... Are you all right?

Jack: Yes ... it tastes good!

Sam smiling: Yes, sir.

At the Stargate station. Jack and Sam have to be back in two hours.

Hammond: Why aren't they back yet? They have to be back in two hours.

Daniel: Sir?

Hammond: If they are not back till 700 this evening we have to close the iris.

Daniel: But, sir ...

Hammond: No, Doctor. It's too dangerous. I told them they should have been back then. And if they're not back soon, I'll have to close the iris.

Daniel: But ...

Hammond: Doctor, dismissed!

Daniel goes out of the Stargate room. At the same time Teal'C comes back from his holiday. He heard the argument between General Hammond and Daniel.

Teal'C: Why not see if we can connect to the other Stargate?

Hammond: Good idea, Teal'C.

Hammond goes to Davis.

Hammond: Open the Stargate!

Davis: Yes, sir.

Davis dials out to P4X-653.

Davis: Chevron one encoded. Chevron two encoded. Chevron three encoded. Chevron four encoded. Chevron five encoded. Chevron six encoded. Chevron seven ...

Davis stops a second and then continues.

Davis: ... failed, sir. We have no contact to P4X-653.

Daniel comes in again.

Daniel: What? What happened? What shall we do now?

All of them look at the Stargate. Back to Jack and Sam. Jack looks for some water, because their water runs out. Jack is back with Sam.

Sam: Didn't you find anything?

Jack: No, and all our food and water is gone. And we only have less than two hours to find that damn Stargate. I've been walking miles, but I didn't find anything to eat or drink nor the village we found a few days ago and wasn't there a river?

Sam: Yes, sir. I saw it, too.

Jack: Well none of that is there. It's disappeared, like the Stargate. I think we'll have to stay here a little longer.

Sam: I believe so, sir, but do you think General Hammond will let us back through, if we do manage to get off this planet?

Jack: Well, we'll have to see, won't we?

Sam: Yes, sir. But what shall we do now, without any water or food?

Jack: I don't know, please don't ask me any more, cause I feel very sick.

He runs into a bush.

Sam: Colonel, are you all right?

Jack sarcastically: Yeah, fine!

Sam tries to remind Jack about the village.

Sam: Sir, I don't think it's a planet without people. You know the village was there ...

Jack screams: Carter, please ... look around, there's nothing but forest! I think there is neither food nor water nor the village we saw! And the Stargate is also gone. So ... WHAT THE HELL SHALL WE DO NOW?!

Sam tries to calm Jack down.

Sam: Sir, calm down, it's all right. We'll stay here ok.

Jack calms down and walks back to Sam.

Jack: Yeah, sure. We'll stay here.

Jack tries to change the subject.

Jack: What do you think? Why aren't there any people?

Sam: I don't know, sir.

Jack: Ok. I'll look for some more food. Maybe I'll find this village or the river. You stay here.

Sam: Are you sure, sir?

Jack: Yeah, yeah. I'll be ok. You just stay here, ok?

Sam: Yes, sir.

Jack goes away, but sways a little. At the same time Sam starts to cry, cause she cares about Jack. At the SGC.

Teal'C: You do not think the Goa'Uld might have attacked?

Daniel: Well, think about it, Teal'C. The Goa'Uld would have to put a lot of effort into destroying something as powerful as the Stargate andtheybuilt it. Why should they destroy it now?

Teal'C: I wouldn't be so sure, Doctor Jackson. The Goa'Uld have been very powerful before and this seems like the perfect opportunity for them to attack. They know that Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter are alone on this planet. And they are their greatest enemies, but not yet. Not without the Stargate or any weapons.

Daniel: I don't know. I just don't see how they should know that they are on that planet. But if what you say is true, then Jack and Sam would be dead already. And I just don't want to believe that.

Daniel picks up a pile of books and starts reading. On P4X-653. Jack is not back yet and Sam starts to search for him.

Sam: Sir?

No answer.

Sam: Sir? ... COLONEL!?! ...

Still no answer. She continues in a more quiet voice.

Sam: ... Jack?

Sam starts to worry, because he felt so sick before. She looks around the forest, but there's no sign of life from Jack. Or anything. Soon it gets dark, so Sam walks back to the tent without Jack. At the same time somewhere on P4X-653. Jack is unconscious. Suddenly someone, or something, comes near him. After a while Jack wakes up. He only sees a shadow. Then he falls asleep again, without noticing any more. The next morning Sam wants to look for Jack, but as she looks up, she finds him curled up like a baby on the floor of the tent. Sam's face spreads into a relieved smile.

Sam whispers: Sir, where have you been?

She checks his temperature and notices that he's totally wet.

Sam: Sir, why are you so wet? Have you found the river?

Jack half asleep: Mmmh?

Sam: Have you found the river, sir?

Jack: Mmmh!

He sleeps. Sam decides to look for some more berries. Suddenly she is startled by the thought of the berries.

Sam: Sir, they were poisonous!!

Jack: Mmmmh?

Sam: The berries you ate. They were poisonous!

But Jack doesn't notice that, because he is too weak to understand. At the SGC. Daniel still tries to find something about the planet.

Hammond: Any news, Doctor Jackson?

Daniel: No, sir. There's only information about the villagers who used to live there.

Hammond: Who USED to live there?

Daniel: Yes. There are no signs that they still live there. It says that a disaster starts there once every year. I don't know what it exactly is, but that's what I'm trying to figure out.

Hammond: Then I'll leave you to get back to your work ...

He starts to walk out, but stops.

Hammond: And doctor?

Daniel: Yes, sir?

Hammond: Major Carter and Colonel O'Neill are reported missing, officially.

Daniel: What? Sir, I won't give up!

Hammond: Dr. Jackson, we'll continue searching for them, but that's a request from the president. And you should get back to work, to find out what happened to them villagers. That might be our solution.

Daniel: Yes, sir, sure.

On P4X-653. Jack's still unconscious.

Sam: Sir, wake up. Please.

Jack suddenly wakes up.

Jack: Hey, what happened?

Sam: Oh, sir. You slept a very long time.

Jack: How long, exactly?

Sam: 25 hours, I think.

Jack: For crying out loud ... Any news?

Sam: No, sir. Still no sign of the Stargate. What happened to you?

Jack: I don't know. I tried to find something to eat and suddenly I fell unconscious ... wait. I saw a shadow.

Sam: What?

Jack: Yeah. There was something around me or someone.

Sam: Well, why were you so wet?

Jack: I was wet?

Sam nods.

Jack: I don't know why. And I have no idea how I got back here.

Sam checks his temperature again.

Sam: You're boiling hot. Sir. I think the berries you ate were poisonous.

Jack: Ya think?

Sam: Yes, sir.

Jack: Good news?

Sam: Sir, if we can't get the poison out of you, you will ... um ...

Sam stops talking.

Jack: What? You mean, I will die?

Sam: Yes, sir.

Jack: Fine ... they looked like raspberries.

He tries to sound funny, but sounds a bit scared and disappointed. Sam starts to sob, because she feels that Jack is scared.

Sam: Yes, sir.

She hangs her arms around him and starts to cry. Jack holds her, too, but looks sad himself.

Jack: What's with you?

Sam lets go and looks at Jack.

Sam: Sir?

Jack: You ate those berries, too.

Sam: Yes, sir, but you had ...

Jack goes on: ... the red ones I know.

Sam: I could be wrong.

Jack: No, Carter. I don't think so. I'm the one that's feeling sick .... Did you find anything to eat or drink?

Sam: No, sir.

Jack: Ok, I'll go and see.

Sam: No!

Jack: And why not, Carter?

Sam: You'll stay here. I'll go. You're too weak.

Sam gets up; Jack starts to, too.

Sam: No!

Jack gets back down again.

Jack: Be careful!

Sam while she leaves the tent: Yes, sir.

At the SGC. The iris is now closed.

Hammond: I'm sorry, doctor, but I had no other choice. I had to close the iris.

Daniel looks at the Stargate with tears in his eyes: Sir, please.

Hammond: No, Daniel. We've tried everything to connect to their Stargate, but we couldn't. There's no chance to save them. They could even be dead by now.

Daniel: We can't give up, sir.

Hammond: I've lost two very important people to me. Do you think it's easy for me?

Daniel leaves the room. General Hammond watches him. Suddenly Daniel stops walking.

Hammond: What's the matter?

Daniel: The Asgard. We, we have to contact the Asgard! Maybe they'll help us.

Hammond: Ok. I'll try to reach them.

Hammond runs into his office. On P4X-653. Sam finds some nuts.

Sam: Sir, I found some nuts. Here.

She gives them to Jack. But Jack starts sweating and screaming.

Sam: Sir! For god sake, sir!

Jack: Damn it hurts!

Sam: What?

Jack: Everything!!

Sam: Sir, try to calm down. I'll see if I can help.

While she checks him, his eyes start to glow and he hits Sam to the ground. Sam's unconscious and Jack flees into the forest. After a while Sam wakes up and notices Jack has gone.

Sam: Sir?

Suddenly it comes to her mind, why she was unconscious.

Sam whispers: No, not Jack.

At the SGC.

Hammond: Doctor, the Asgard are here now. We'll meet at 800 in our meeting room.

Daniel: Yes, sir.

Hammond leaves the room.

Teal'C: They have much trouble, Doctor Jackson.

Daniel: What?

Teal'C: I mean Major Carter and Colonel O'Neill, they are in trouble.

Daniel: How do you know?

Teal'C: I feel it!

Daniel: You, youfeelit?

Teal'C: Yes.

Daniel: Well, uh, can you feel in which trouble they are?

Teal'C: No.

Daniel: Well, let's just hope the Asgard will help us, so we will find them soon.

Teal'C: Yes, Doctor Jackson. I hope so.

In the meeting room. Daniel, General Hammond, Teal'C and Thor are there.

Thor: What is the meaning of my coming?

Hammond: Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter are on P4X-653 and cannot go back, cause the Stargate is destroyed or disappeared, we don't exactly know what happened.

Thor: You want to ask me if I can help you, right?

Hammond: Yes. You can take your spaceship.

Thor: Yes, I'll try to find them.

Daniel: Um ... Teal'C feels they are in trouble.

Hammond: Teal'C?

Teal'C: Yes, sir. I don't exactly know what it means, but I think they are in trouble.

Thor: Then I have no time to lose.

Hammond: Good luck, Thor. And bring them back healthy please.

Thor: I will try my best.

Thor beams himself up. On P4X-653. Sam decides to search for Jack, though he is a Goa'Uld now. After a few hours she sees him.

Sam: Sir?

He's unconscious.

Sam: Sir?

He wakes up.

Jack: Sam, help me ... please.

Sam runs over to him.

Sam: Yes, sir. But what shall I do?

No answer.

Sam: SIR!

Sam brings Jack back to the tent.

Sam: Sir?

Jack: Sam, it hurts.

Sam: I know, sir. You have a Goa'Uld in you.

Jack: Now I know what Kowalsky meant. Did I hurt you?

Sam lies.

Sam: No, sir.

Jack: I won't die!

Sam: You won't die.

Jack: Are you sure?

Sam: Sir, we have to go back. The Tok'Ra might help us.

Jack: Oh, yes the Tok'Ra, but ...

He starts to cry in pain.

Sam: Sir!

Jack as a Goa'Uld: You little demon. You never will see your friend again.

Sam is scared, but she won't give up so easy. She knows that anywhere in this body Jack is still alive.

Sam: Sir, you must fight against it. I know you can do it.

Jack as a Goa'Uld: You can call me Sa'ar. Your friend is mine now. He cannot hear you.

Sam: I know that's not true.

Sa'ar: You are an experienced woman.

Sam: I had Jolinar in me. I know what it's like!

Jack: Sam ...

Sam whispering: Jack, I'm here. I'll help you.

Sam goes to Jack, but as she notices that Sa'ar appears she jumps back. Sa'ar runs away. At the SGC.

Davis: Sir, there's an incoming traveler.

Hammond: Who is it? We weren't expecting anyone.

Davis: I don't know. No code.

Hammond: Close the iris.

Sa'ar: Listen, if you want to know where your friends are, you have to trust me.

Hammond: Why should we trust you. Who are you anyway?

Sa'ar: I'm Sa'ar.

Jack still fighting against Sa'ar has a chance to speak.

Jack: Sir, help me!!

Hammond: Jack?

Sa'ar: He's a strong man. I can feel him fighting.

Hammond: I know. He's my best Colonel.

Sa'ar: But he will lose this fight! He's mine now!

Hammond: What do you want?

Sa'ar: I will kill him, if you're not willing to give me your planet.

Hammond: But ...

The connection breaks down. General Hammond has to choose now, if he wants to lose his best man or if he is willing to risk a war between the Goa'Uld and the humans. He knows what he must do, but he's scared of this thought.

Hammond: We have only two chances to save this planet.

Daniel comes into the control room.

Daniel: What chances?

Hammond: Teal'C was right. They are in trouble. Jack is a Goa'Uld now. I don't know if Sam's still alive.

Daniel: What's with Jack?

Hammond: The Goa'Uld is called Sa'ar and he told us, he'll keep Jack to himself, if we're not willing to give him our planet. And Dr. Jackson. You know what I have to do.

Daniel: Yes, sir. But the Asgard ...

Hammond: I was hoping you'd ask that. The Asgard are our second chance. We have to fight against Sa'ar before he reaches our planet.

Daniel: Where's the difference? Everything we do, we will kill Jack. Jack "is" Sa'ar.

Hammond: What about the Tok'Ra? They have a sarcophagus. We can put him into it, so we'll kill Sa'ar, but not Jack.

Daniel: Well, I guess that's a possibility. I think he's taken by enthusiasm about lying in a sarcophagus.

Hammond: Doctor, please! There's no time to play jokes!

Daniel: Sorry, sir. I know. I miss him and believe me, I want him back soon.

On P4X-653. Sam still tries to find Jack. All her hope is gone now, because she knows, that she can't go back to the Stargate and she's also lost Jack. Suddenly Thor beams himself down.

Thor: Major Carter. Good to see you in perfect health. Where is Colonel O'Neill?

Sam: Oh for god sake Thor. I'm so glad to see you. Colonel O'Neill is taken by a Goa'Uld. I didn't know, how I could help him, without killing him. Please help me Thor. We have to save him.

Thor: First, I will contact General Hammond. Then we will see what we will have to do next.

Thor beams Sam and himself up and contacts General Hammond through his Spaceship.

Thor: Major Carter is standing beside me, General Hammond. She's in good health, but Colonel O'Neill has been taken by a Goa'Uld. We have to do something.

Sam: Sir, please. We must help Jack. He's scared. I know that, cause he told me that, before he disappeared.

Hammond: I know, Major. Sa'ar told me everything. We have only one chance to fight against the Goa'Uld and to save Colonel O'Neill.

Sam: And that would be?

Hammond: We contacted the Tok'Ra and they're willing to help us. They'll lend us their sarcophagus, so we can save Jack. But we have only one chance. Remember this, Major Carter, do you know where Jack is at the moment?

Sam: No, I'm afraid not, sir.

Hammond: Well, first you have to fight against the other Goa'Uld, and then we can look for Jack. And Teal'C ...

Teal'C comes out of a room in the spaceship. He's also on P4X-653.

Teal'C: Yes, sir?

Sam can't help hugging Teal'C.

Teal'C: I am also glad to see you, Major Carter.

Hammond: You will lead the team.

Teal'C surprised: Yes ... sir, but which team?

Hammond: You're alone on this one, you, Major Carter and Thor.

Thor: We'll do our best to win this war.

Hammond: I know that.

Sam: Where's Daniel?

Hammond: Oh, he's here.

While General Hammond says this, Daniel starts to speak, too.

Daniel: Hey Sam!

Sam: Daniel! Good to hear you.

Daniel: I heard, what happened to Jack.

Sam: Yeah, but we'll save him.

Daniel: I know. He's very strong. But although he can fight against this damn Goa'Uld he sounds quite scared.

Sam: I know.

A tear runs down Sam's cheek, because she remembers, that she told Jack to be hard at fighting against it.

Hammond: Anyway, good luck. And get going!

Sam: Yes, sir.

The connection is broken. Sam, Teal'C and Thor decide to begin with their new mission. Thor beams them down. They start to search the village, Sam and Jack had found a few days ago.

Teal'C pointing at the village: Look, Major Carter. There's a village.

Sam: Oh, thank goodness we found it. Ok, let's see, if the Goa'Uld are there.

Teal'C No, I don't think that is wise. We should wait and see.

Sam: But why?

Teal'C: I think they know, that we're here. Please believe in me. We should wait.

Sam: Ok. I believe you.

Teal'C: We'll save O'Neill. You must not be scared.

Suddenly hundreds of Goa'Uld come out from behind the houses.

Sam: Oh my god!!! Teal'C?

Thor: I think we should save O'Neill and then we'll go home. Your best man is out there. I don't think we have a chance without him.

Sam: You're right Thor. There are too many of them. Teal'C?

Teal'C: I agree, Major Carter.

They run back to the spaceship as fast as they can. Thor beams them up.

Thor: I will beam him up straight away. Are you ready?

Sam and Teal'C nod. Both take out their Zatguns. Thor beams up Sa'ar.

Sa'ar while pointing his Zatgun at Sam: You are not thinking, you'll win, are you?

Teal'C who's standing behind Sa'ar: Actually, we are.

Sa'ar turns around.

Sa'ar: Shol'va!

Teal'C shoots. Sa'ar falls onto the floor. On Earth.

Daniel: The Asgard are back, sir.

Hammond: What? So soon?

Davis, Daniel and Hammond run into the Stargate room. Through the Asgardbeam, Sa'ar, Teal'C and Sam are brought back into the Stargate room. Everyone in the control room stares at them. The sarcophagus is standing in the room, too.

Hammond: Teal'C?

Teal'C: He's unconscious. We couldn't fight, because there were so many of them.

Hammond: Ok, put him into the sarcophagus.

They lay Sa'ar into the sarcophagus. Sa'ar wake up and starts to scream.

Sa'ar while the sarcophagus closes: No! He's MINE!!!

Suddenly he stops shouting. The camera shows the sarcophagus. The screen turns black. Next you see Fraiser, Sam and General Hammond walking towards the sarcophagus.

Fraiser: He's been lying there for about 12 hours. I think it's time to wake our Colonel up!

Fraiser opens the sarcophagus. After a few seconds, Jack wakes up. He speaks quietly and a bit sleepy.

Jack: Good morning campers! ... What happened?

Fraiser: You were taken by a Goa'Uld.

Jack sarcastically: Oh man. I've always wanted to be taken by my favorite species.

Sam: Well, I'm positive it's our Colonel, we're talking to. Good to see you.

Hammond: Yes, good to have you back Colonel.

Jack: Oh yeah, great to be here.

He gets out of the sarcophagus and starts to sway.

Jack: Home!

Hammond: Well, almost. I think you should stay in the infirmary for a while.

Jack: But ...

Hammond: No buts, Colonel!

Fraiser: Ok, I'll take you there.

They go out of the Stargate room. Then you see Daniel and Teal'C walking down a corridor.

Daniel: Where have they gone off to now?

Teal'C: I have no idea, Doctor Jackson.

Fraiser and Jack walk towards Daniel and Teal'C.

Daniel without thinking: Hi Jack!

Jack with a huge, gigantic [sorry] smile on his face: Hey!!

Daniel stops to think. He turns around.

Daniel: Jack?!

Jack: Who else?

Fraiser: Come on, Jack, you can talk to your friends later.

They continue down the corridor and arrive in the infirmary. Fraiser decides to make a check up.

Fraiser: Honestly, I feel like I've become a kid's doctor.

She smiles at Jack. After the check up.

Fraiser: I think you're all right, Colonel.

Jack: Thanks. This Sa'ar really got on my nerves!

Fraiser: Ok. I think you should stay here for a few days, and then you can go back to work.

Jack puts on a child's voice.

Jack: Thank you, Doctor Fraiser.

Fraiser laughs.

Fraiser: Man, I missed you!

Fraiser gets back to work.

Jack while he lies down: I hope it won't take too long!

Hammond and the others are in the meeting room.

Hammond: As you know there are a lot of Goa'Uld on P4X-653 ...

Sam: Yes, there were hundreds of them.

Daniel: Oh yeah ... when I was looking in my books about this planet, I found out, that caves had been found there. I take it the villagers hid there every time the Goa'Uld came ...

Hammond: Why should the Goa'Uld go there every year and then leave again?

Teal'C: Maybe the inhabitants on this planet have managed to defeat the Goa'Uld until now.

Daniel: They never managed to kill them all, so they come back every year.

Hammond: But why only once a year, at the same time?

Sam: Through the arches around the course of the planet except for a little gap, which is roughly a period of two weeks, you can dial to the Stargate, but because of the alteration you will miss the Stargate and be lost in the universe.

Hammond angrily: Why didn't you inform yourself about the planet before you left ...

Sam: Sir?

Hammond: Could you imagine what would have happened if you went three weeks earlier?!

Teal'C: They would have died.

Hammond: Thank you, Teal'C.

Sam: Everything seemed to be ok to me, sir.

Hammond: You almost killed yourself and your Colonel. Are you aware of that?!

Sam: Sorry, sir. It won't happen again.

Hammond: I should hope so, Major. Anyway, when you Colonel is back to normal, I would like you to inspect that planet.

Sam: But ... how?

Hammond: Through the Asgard.

Sam: Yes, sir.

In the infirmary. Fraiser goes to Jack.

Fraiser: How are you feeling?

Jack weak: Dizzy.

Fraiser checks his temperature.

Fraiser: You've got a high fever. I think you should sleep a while, and then you should feel better.

He falls asleep. Fraiser checks a patient on the other side of the infirmary. After a while Fraiser notices that Jack's falling into a coma.

Fraiser: Jack?

She gets someone to get General Hammond.

Fraiser to a Lieutenant: Get General Hammond, and hurry!!

The Lieutenant starts running. Sam comes in. She looks around and sees the Lieutenant running.

Sam whilst pointing behind her: What's with him?

Fraiser: Sam! Jack is lying in a coma!

Sam: What?!

Fraiser: He has a high fever. I think he's been poisoned.

Sam: Oh man.

Fraiser: What?

Sam: When we were on the planet, we ate some berries. He had different ones than me. I guessed they were poisonous.

Fraiser: Why didn't you tell me?

Sam: Well, afterwards I thought it was the Goa'Uld.

General Hammond comes rushing in.

General Hammond: What's the matter?

Fraiser: He's lying in a coma!

General Hammond: Well ... do something!

Fraiser: I'm afraid, we can only wait and see what happens.

Daniel and Teal'C come in. They want to say something, but ...

Fraiser to Daniel and Teal'C: He's lying in a coma, ok?

Then there is silence. Next scene: Jack and Sam are alone. Sam sits beside Jack's bed.

Sam: Sir, I wish I could have done something ... You don't want to leave us now, do you? You should know that we need you. You're the best Colonel, one could ever dream of ...

While she says this she starts to cry.

Sam: ... I know you want to be with your son, but we need you more.

She holds his hand.

Sam: We weren't exactly nice to you. I hope you'll forgive us.

Jack tightens his grip.

Sam: Jack?!

Fraiser comes in.

Sam: Janet, I think he's awake.

Fraiser: Really?

Fraiser looks at the machine.

Fraiser: Get back.

Sam while she moves back: Why? What's the matter?

Fraiser: He's getting weaker.

Suddenly his heart stops, and there's a long beep of the machine. Fraiser runs to the emergency phone.

Fraiser: Medical team to the infirmary!!

Dr. Warner and some other doctors come in almost immediately. Closely followed by Hammond and the others. Sam starts crying again. Fraiser starts to resuscitate. Whilst this Sam, General Hammond, Daniel and Teal'C watch them. While Fraiser is in action, she sobs, and General Hammond, Daniel and Teal'C have tears in their eyes.

Dr. Warner after a few attempts: Doctor Fraiser ...

Fraiser: NO!!!

Dr. Warner: Doctor Fraiser, I think it's enough ... its no use.

Fraiser stops and slowly walks over to the others. Sam and Janet break into tears, and the others burst into heavy sobbing whereas they all look at the now dead Jack. For a few seconds, which seem like an hour, there is total silence, except for the long beep of the machine. Sam tries to speak whilst crying.

Sam whispering: Now he's with his son.

She takes a break in which she sobs.

Sam still whispering: Tal met. Priem ta shree, tal ma.

None of them look at Sam. Daniel and Hammond look to the floor. Teal'C stares in front of himself. Janet stares at the machine and Sam looks at Jack. Next the camera shows each of them separately and then goes onto Jack.
