"Sir, I think, we should be talking about it. DUDE!!!!!!" Sam stood in front of her mirror, talking to herself. "Damn, we is this sooo hard."

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. She turned and left her bedroom to answer it.

"Sir, hi ... ehm, hallo." She obviously didn't know what to say. "Hi Carter, how are you?" he replied with a huge grin. Sam couldn't help but grin back.
"I am doing very well, Sir." She hesitated a second then asked him inside. He nodded and went inside.
"So, Sir ... ehm, what can I do for you? Can I get you anything?" Sam was quite nervous about he being in her house. That was too much --- even for her as a trained military and after what happened after yesterday's mission. Jack simply replied: "A beer would be sweet." She had to grin.

As she left to get him the beer he just let himself fall on her couch. "Why don't you make yourself comfortable?" asked Sam as she walked back into the living room. He smiled and took the beer, took a sip and looked at his 2IC.

After a few moments of awkward silence he finally started to talk: "So, Sam ..." This definitely took her off guard. She was obviously startled. "Sir?" He himself became more nervous than he thought he would: "Ehm, I guess, what I am trying to say is, ehm that ... well, I never really thought of you that way, you know." She simply nodded, feeling embarrassed: "I never meant to ... I mean, I was not planning to ... I ... what I want to say is ... I mean ..." "I know what you mean, Carter, I know" He realized that she felt quiet uneasy with everything that happened.

After another moment of silence Sam this time started off: "Sir, I should be really apologizing." "No, no Sam, you shouldn't. It was my fault after all. And you shouldn't feel bad about it. I just came to say that it is ok. I mean we are fine right? I'll be simply more careful next time." "So will I, Sir. And yes, we are fine. I am just glad we are ok with it. Nothing will ever have to leave this room." "Oh I know this from somewhere, but yeah. I'll see you tomorrow, Captain." With these words he got up and left. "Yes, Sir, see you tomorrow."

Sam got up and went to her kitchen. It wasn't too bad after all.

Jack went to his car. It wasn't too bad after all.

Next morning, Sam and Jack were center of conversations of all SGC-members. Both felt uncomfortable b/c everyone seemed to whisper when they were near. Sam was on her way to her lab when she walked into her CO, she tripped and fell to the floor, taking him with her. He landed on top of her. Both knew that this wouldn't do any good about the situation they were in. After a few seconds Sam finally broke the silence: "Sir, no offence meant, but would you please get off my hip bone. It's starting to hurt." With that, Jack jumped off her. He held out a hand for Sam. She took it and he helped her up. "Carter, is it only me old man who has the feeling that people are talking about us?" "No, Sir. It is also me young woman who has the feeling." Jack had to grin. "So it is not the age", was all his reply. She giggled. "Hey, Captain, didn't I tell you about giggling?" "Sir, you did indeed." He laughed.
"Alright then, why do people talk about us? Did you tell anyone, Carter?" "No, Sir. I didn't even talk to Janet. What about you? Did you talk to Daniel, Sir?" "NOOO ... I mean, why should I, Carter?" "I just wondered. Anyone else? I mean, did you mention it towards anyone else?" "Let me think ..."
Sam started giggling.
"What is it Carter?"
"Nothing Sir. But go on thinking."
"Ha ha, Carter, but anyway. I just told Teal'c and I don't think he would really start such a wave of talking about us." "Still waters are deep, Sir. It could be a possibility." They both turned on their heels and went to look for their friend, finding him in his quarters.

"O'Neill, Captain Carter. Nice to see you both." "Hi, Teal'c. Ehm, Carter and me are wondering if you ... ehm, you know, I told you about this coincidence yesterday ... and we were wondering if you told anyone." Jack looked at the Jaffa with big eyes. "I did indeed, O'Neill."
"Why did you do that Teal'c?" It was Sam's turn to talk now. "I did not know it to be a secret, Captain Carter." "Well, it wasn't, really, I mean. No one was supposed to know, because it puts Colonel O'Neill and myself in a really awkward situation, you know." "I do believe you, Captain Carter. I apologize." "No need, old friend." Jack grabbed Sam and pulled her outside.

"Carter, what are we doing now?"
"Well, Sir, nothing happened. Actually, I mean." "I know, you know, but the rest of the base is just making more of it." "True, but I really don't know what we could do about it, Sir." "Ok, so you think we should be doing nothing." "Sir, I think it would be the best, because no matter what we are doing it won't do any good. I mean, after all, what did actually happen? What do the people know?" "Well, to refresh your memory, Captain Carter, you were coming out of the showers, naked, to remind you. And I was standing undressed in front of my locker. And then you were starting to sing the most awful tune I ever heard." Sam couldn't help but laugh out loud, then she stopped, looked at her CO and asked: "Is this good or bad, Sir?" Jack saw the mocking in her eyes, started to grin, slapped her butt, kissed her hard and said while turning on his heels: "Well, my ears shut down and my eyes were focused on a certain mole ... oh and some other beautiful things."

With that he left a startled Captain Carter.
