AUTHOR'S NOTES:
The last couple of days had taken their toll on SG-1, after the intrusion into Sam and Jacks minds they all given downtime to take a load off as General Hammond kindly put it.
Jack looked out of the window, the rain was running down the window and his thoughts were of her, is she ok, should I go to her, will she want to see me.
Sam's tears welled in her already reddened eyes, why hasn't he called, doesn't he care.
'Hello,' Sam said.
'It's me, are you ok?
'No,'
'You,'
'No,'
Silence
'Can I come and see you,'
'Why,'
'Cos' I'm your friend,'
'Friend',' sure' Sam said with a hint of sarcasm.
There was a knock at the door, which interrupted the phone call, 'There's someone at the door just hold on Sir,'
It was Jack.
'Hi,' jack looked a lonely figure,
'Come in,' he followed her into her apartment, 'you look well, Sam,'
'Thanks, you don't,'
'Thanks, I'm so sorry Sam, I can't tell you how much,'
'Sit please'.
Jack sat down and watched as Sam paced the room, her blue eyes were filled with fire; it was something he liked to see,
'Ok I'm going to say some things which maybe will ruin my career, but here goes,' she took a deep breath Jack noted her chest swell with a deep breath, he loved her so much it hurt.
'You left me Jack, I was alone, and all I wanted was you, and you left', a tear began to fall from her eyes, 'Sam'
'No, let me say this, 'she took in another deep breath, "I was angry but I'm ok now, and I know you did it to save me and for that I'm grateful, so its me that should feel guilty and apologise to you'.
'Sam,'
'Jack I . . ."
Before she could say another word she was in his arms, he was holding her so tightly he was squeezing the breath from her body, 'Jack your hurtin.."
He released her slightly, 'I'm sorry, I just don't want to ever let you go again, You must understand how difficult that was for me, to see you injured and helpless and I had to leave, it was as though somebody was ripping out my heart, the pain was unbearable Sam, and as you know I don't do pain,'
This made Sam smile; 'I think you can let me go now, Sir',
'Please call me Jack,'he shook his head, 'when you call me Jack I feel as though we are just two normal people, not, he struggled to find the right words, 'well ya know....'
'Yes, Jack I do'. That smile Jack loved it,
'You have the most beautiful smile Sam',
She blushed and bowed her head, Jack lifted her chin with his finger, Before he placed his lips on hers she looked into his eyes and they asked for assurance, he smiled and they kissed, tentatively at first, but each kiss became more passionate, until Same pulled away and breathlessly said, "Will you stay,'
'Only if you want me to,'
'More than anything,'
With the smirk she was used to and the smile in his eyes she adored, Sam took his hand in hers and led him upstairs.
