Author's Response: Thank you. I took much of my own BMT experience and wove it into this story, so this is more true to life than you might think. The unrealistic part is the pranks. That part is my revenge on my TI. But I digress... If you do enlist, congradulations and welcome to the military family. In many ways my military brothers and sisters are closer to me than my blood kin. I love them but they just don't understand why I do what I love to do. My only advice is for you to keep life in perspective and enjoy every minute of the process. I hated BMT while I was there, but now I look back fondly on the people and the experiences I had. Also, thanks for an entertaining perspective on BMT life. I will probably be enlisting soon and I found much of the contents here to be useful, although taken with a grain of salt since this is fiction.
