I saw this
and thought of you,
of how things were
when all was new;
of how you thought
with mistrust,
of how you thought
you had me sussed.
I saw this
and thought of you,
of how things happened
and how we grew;
of how we learnt
to be as friends
of how we learnt
to trust again.
I saw this
and thought of you,
of how you dare
to pull me through;
of how you try
when I am scared
of how you'd die
because you care.
I saw this heart
and thought of you,
my closest friend
my love anew.
