LOVE HIM

Love him?

I do not love him like lover's do,

I do not touch him, hold him, sleep with him, revealing in the intensity of which he loves me,

I do not share my life nor my house with him, and argue about the decor,

I do not sit and plan the rest of our lives together, an argue about the dog the we are NOT getting,

I do not spend my days off in bed with him, listening to him tell the worst of his jokes,

I do not make his coffee in the morning, and share in making a mess of dinner,

I do not wonder what our children would look like, nor laugh when I find that they're like us,

I do not dream of spending eternity with him, even if I wanted to,

But, I do work with him.

I fight beside him, and for our personal and not so personal causes.

I do listen to his jokes, how ever bad they are, I still laugh,

I take in that sometimes, he just wants to protect me, even though he knows that I can do it for myself,

And pick at his Jello when he gets bored with it, which leads to a purple tongue, maybe two,

I do smile when he smiles, but only becuase he's smiling at me smile,

I do let him watch me work, it soothes both of us,

And through it all, the good, the bad and even other times,

I do love him,

But don't tell him that,

He might get a big head,
