Someone you know me,
put it there.
Your are one with
the background here.
Paleness blends with white, the grey
I loose your face
between these sheets.
Harder it gets to picture your smile,
the longer you stay, sleeping.
Monitors beeping steadily
As my despair grows to its rhythm
Substance running through your veins.
A machine breathes instead.
Your cherished heart beats without you knowing. They Sustains you.
No, not you. Someone else now.
Coffee is handed to me.
No words.
Just someone who knows me.
Knows me not to leave.
