AUTHOR'S NOTES: I came up with this literally 2 hours before submitting it. I didn't bother to proof read, it's too hot where we are.

SG-1 walked along the path provided by the natives, that had onced lived there. They obviously weren't there anymore. "Well." said Colonel Jack O'Neill to his team.

"I think we're wasting valuable time, looking for.....squat."

"Jack! I think we should keep looking, I saw something. I know it." said Daniel Jackson, trying persuade the older, grayer man that he was right.

"Who thinks, Space Monkey is losing his marbles." Samantha Carter just shrugged.

"What are marbles???" asked the alien Teal'c.

"Never mind." sighed Jack. "Forget I mentioned it." Sam sighed as well, she had had enough of the bickering, constant arguing and debates that was never ending, when it concerned the male members of SG-1. Unfortunately for her they were all male, except her.

Sam was about to continue to follow them when she knew someone was watching her. Although it was more of a feeling , she just knew there was someone there. She turned around, to see a young man standing in front of her. He was actually about the same age as she was. Sam couldn't speak, she found her body wouldn't react with her mind. This man before her was making her slightly excited, in a way she hadn't felt for quite some time.

When Jack turned around, he saw an alien standing in front of Carter. "Hey?" he shouted, snapping Sam out of her dreamy feelings. Jack walked upto them and said "Making friends, Carter."

"Um.....yes sir." she said, finding her voice.

"I am Colien. I am please to meet you. I have been alone for days." he spoke, for the first time. Sam couldn't help but listen to sweetness in his voice, although she was constantly trying her snap herself out of it. "Well Co....Col..."

"Colien." he repeated for Jack

"Colien. I'm Jack O'Neill. This is Daniel Jackson, and this is Teal'c. I think you've met Major Carter."

"Yes Hello Major Carter." Sam smiled, shyly.

"Oh Hello, Colien." she said.

"Did you say you've been alone?" asked Daniel, walking upto them.

"Yes."

"Why? What happened?" asked Sam.

"I do not know. I woke up and everyone had gone. I saw foot prints all around the circle, so I believe they left."

"How many of there were you?" asked Teal'c

"A handful. But there is only me, now."

"Well...." said Jack, but got interrupted by Daniel

"Maybe we could take him home with us."

"Daniel we don't know him."

"I will not harm your people, please I am lonely. I wish for.....company." he said looking at Sam. Sam lowered her head.

"Colonel, We could check him, when we get back." suggested Sam, Jack looked at him, as if he was looking for signs of danger on him. He couldn't find any.

"Very well." said Jack "Let's go, kids."

Sam walked along side Colien, behind the others. She was nervous, she couldn't believe it but she was nervous. She hadn't felt this way for a very long time. She felt like a teenage girl falling for a boy for the first time. She actually liked the feeling, and for some reason when she looked at him, she felt as if he was mirroring her feelings back at her. Sam looked at Colien , only to see that he was looking at her. She turned away, blushing slightly and he cleared his throat. "My I ask you a question?"

"Oh um yes." she replied, her throat dry.

"Your name Major Carter. It sounds more like something that is imporsonal. Is that true?"

"Colonel O'Neill calls, me Carter. Yeah it's.....im....personal. My name is Samantha Carter."

"Hello Samantha Carter."

"You...er....can just call me Sam."

"Sam." he said, trying the name on his lips, as if savouring the sound.

"Colien." she said, imitating him. He smiled.

"I am pleased to meet you." he said, smiling. Sam smiled back. Both feeling very shy.

"Pleased to meet you too." They continued walking in silence.

In the 'gate room, General Hammond walked upto the newest visitor to earth. "Hello. I am General Hammond." he said.

"I am Colien, I am pleased you have allowed me into your world."

"If you would allow, I wouldn't mind if you would go to our infirmary and have a medical examination."

"I do not mind. If it will prove I mean you no harm." Hammond smiled. He was about to suggest that an airmen take him, when Jack jumped in. "Why not let Carter take him, sir. She seems to have established a rapor, with him." he said.

"Of course, Major, if you don't mind." Sam couldn't speak, she shook her head, and led Colien out the 'gate room.

Later on, Sam came back to the infirmary to fetch him. "I was beginning to think that I would never see you again Samantha...sorry Sam. There are sooooo many people here." Sam smiled

"I came back. General Hammond wants me to give you a tour of the base. Would you like that?"

"As soon as your Doctor Friaser allows me to leave." Fraiser walked upto them.

"You are as fit as a fiddle." she said, smiling. Colien looked confused.

"What do you mean as fit as a fiddle." he asked

"She means that you are healthy." said Sam, explaining to him. But enjoying the cute face he now showed as he stood confused. "i see." he said, Sam then led the way out of the infirmary. Janet watched them leave. She knew something was going on between them, she just knew it.

"Now...this is the commensary." said Sam, walking into the commensary. Best described as a mess hall. "What do people do here?" he asked

"They eat." she said. He looked around, and then turned back to her.

"What do they eat?" he asked. Sam decided it might be best to show him.

"Come, I shall show you." she walked behind the counter and into the kitchen.

"Who's that?" came the voice of the chef. He turned around and his frown changed to a smile. "Hello, Sam, let me guess, the extraordinary dishes that I have made, don't meet your needs." He looked at Colien, and she said "Can I take over your kitchen?"

"Well Sam, if it was anybody else, I'd say no. But you know your way around my kitchen anyway. Have fun." he walked out

"I will." she shouted after him. Sam turned to Colien.

"He knows you."

"I come here often."

"To make food."

"Yes." Colien smiled.

"So! Show me what you eat." Sam looked at him and there eyes locked.

"Right." she snapped herself out of it, and went upto the cupboard. "I'll make Chocolate Eclairs."

"What are they?" he asked

"They are gorgeous." she replied, grinning. As she got out her ingredients he watched in aboslute aw.

"Do all of your people cook there own food?" he asked

"No. You need to know what you are doing!" she answered, as she made pastry. He continued to watch her. He was enjoying just watching her but Sam turned to him and said "Do you want to help me?"

"If you instruct me, I will help."

"Good."

When they had finished the actual making part, she placed a tray full of Eclairs in the oven. "They won't take long." she said. She then wiped the flour off his face. "You know you were meant to put the flour on the Eclairs, not your body."

"Why can we not do both?" he asked, with what looked like a cheeky grin. Sam couldn't tell.

"It's like that, is it?" she asked, with a definite cheeky grin. She picked up the bag of flour and put her hand in the bag and pulled her hand back out and wiped her hand all over his hair. She ruffled his hair, putting flour everywhere. "Is this apart of cooking?" he asked

"Well not normally." she said, laughing. He looked like a ghost. He grabbed the bag off her and did the same to her. Pulling her close to him so she couldn't escape. "Hey?" she said "That's not fair."

"If I were to be fair I would not win." he said, laughing with her as well as at her. When the flour bag was empty he found himself staring into her eyes. She was staring back. He put his hand on her face and lowered his lips to hers. He didn't kiss her until he felt that she wanted it. Sam then lifted her lips to his, and they kissed softly. When the broke apart Sam looked at him and said. "Um....The Eclairs will nearly be done soon." She opened the oven and took the tray out. He tried to take one, when Sam smacked his hand and said "There hot." He looked at her, smiling.

"Sorry." he said. She put them on a cooling tray, and when she turned around, he was practically standing on her. "He took the tray off her and put it down for her."

"They look very tasty." he said.

"They should be." she replied. He bent his neck and kissed her, lightly at first, but then Sam allowed him to intensify the kiss. Sam nearly fell on the Eclairs as they kissed deeply and allowed their feelings to come out. "Ooops." said Sam. Moving away from the Eclairs. They were about to carry on, when Sam heard General Hammond's voice over the intercom. "Would SG-1 and Colien, please report to the briefing room." Colien moved away from Sam, and Sam quickly tidied up. She then got a bag out of the cupboard and put the Eclairs in the bag. And gave them to Colien. "Consider them a gift." she then looked at his hair, and ran fingers through her own. "Oh dear." She looked at him and then grabbed his arm. "Never mind, I'll think if an excuse." They ran out.

As they arrived at the Briefing room, Sam sat beside Daniel , and Colien chose a seat next to her. "Carter, Colien, died your hair I see." said Jack.

"There was an accident in the kitchens." said Sam

"What, the flour bag *accidently* fell out of the cupboard and onto BOTH of your heads." said Jack, obviously he didn't believe that.

"Sounds about right, sir." said Sam

"Oh..."

"Colonel!" said Hammond, "Please. Major after this has finished would the two of you , please wash your hairs."

"Yes Sir." said Sam.

"Now.....What is that smell?" asked Hammond.

"What smell?" asked Sam, oblivous to the Eclair smell, as she and Colien have been submerged in the smell, for quite some time.

"It smells like chocolate, with pastry." said Jack. Colien lifted up the bag of Eclairs. "Are you refering to these, Colonel O'Neill?" he asked, Jack grabbed the bag off him and peeked inside. "Oh my! Chocolate Eclairs. Where did you get these?" he asked

"From...." he looked at Sam, for the word.

"The commensary."

"So you really were in the kitchens?" said Daniel.

"Yes." said Sam. Jack picked up an Eclair and put it in his mouth.

"Mmmmmm.....This is Fantastic."

"They are mine." whined Colien.

"Daniel, you should try these." said Jack, passing him the bag. Daniel tried one. He took one bite and then looked at Jack. "Oh wow, this is great. Mmmmm." Colien looked at Sam, he looked upset that they had taken HIS food. Before long, the Eclairs were gone, as Teal'c and Hammond had joined in with eating them. When they had finished they turned to Sam and Colien. "Who made these?" asked Hammond

"The Chef did." said Sam, before Colien could answer.

"No way! I've tasted his Eclairs, and unless of course he brought them from the best chef in the world, they didn't come from his kitchen." Sam blushed slightly. "Who made them?" said Jack

"Sam did." said Colien.

"Carter??? Get outta town!"

"I do not lie." said Colien "And they were mne."

"Oh sorry" said Daniel. Colien looked at Sam again.

"I'll make you some more." she said. He smiled.

"Well Major your Culinary talents have left no room for improvement." said Hammond

"Is this why the chef knew you?" asked Colien, suddenly . Sam looked at him and said

"Yeah." Jack was shocked, his second was a cook. Yikes!!!

"Do you always get this messy, Carter, when you cook?" asked Jack. Ooops, Jack had found something to pick on, oh dear. "No, we were telling the truth, there was an accident."

"Oh I see." Nice Recovery

"People, we've been wasting time." said Hammond. "I called this meeting to tell you that Colien may stay on Earth, and I have been encouraged to encorporate you into my command." he finished that sentence toward Colien. "In much the same way as Teal'c."

"I am pleased your supeiors agreed to my staying." said Colien, not taking his eyes of Sam, although they both still felt shy around each other. "Good. Major, seeing as the two of you need to stop by the showers, why don't you show Mr Colien to some quarters."

"Yes Sir." answered Sam, she stood up and indicated to Colien that this is his time to leave, but before they could leave, Hammond said "And Major, you wouldn't mind making some more Eclairs, would you?" he asked

"Sorry, sir. I might make some for you tomorrow, but with respect. You just ate Colien's and I promised to make him some more." Hammond nodded in agreement, and Sam and Colien left.

Sam sat down in her quarters with wet hair, she sat down reading a book. It was Sam's favourite even though it was some mindless romantic story, with slight smut in it. Tonight she found herself not reading the words. She remembered the taste of Colien's lips on hers and it sent shivers down her spine. It was a sweet taste and the more she thought about it, the more she wanted to taste that taste again and again. She stood up and walked out.

When she came to her destination, she froze. What if Colien, didn't want to see her. What is he regretted what had happened. He was going to be staying at the SGC, maybe their being together wouldn't be good. She then shook the feeling away, and knocked. When Colien answered, she simply stared at him. "Hello, Sam." he said, smiling "I'm pleased you've come to see me." Sam felt felief wash over her, and her nerves settle slightly. He opened the door, even more to allow her in. When she walked in, the first thing she had noticed was that he had redecorated. "Colien? What did you do to the room?" she asked.

"I don't like plain rooms, they give me a feeling of insecurity." Sam smiled at him.

"It looks...colourful." she answered. She looked at the paintings on the walls. "Where did you get these?" she asked

"Oh, I asked your Doctor Jackson for some paint. I painted them myself."

"They are fantastic."

"Really?" he asked, walking to stand beside her.

"Yes. This is esquisite work, Colien." said Sam, in aw.

"I am pleased you like them, as much as I like your Eclairs." He showed her an empty bag.

"You ate them all." she said

"Yes, and now you have to make General Hammond some more."

"Oh, I know. That's not important."

"Sam, do you regret what happened to us in your kitchen?" he asked

"No, I was hoping that you didn't regret either." she answered. He put his hand on her cheek and placed a thumb on her lips. "I do not regret what happened either." He leaned toward and kissed her."You still taste like chocolate." said Sam, slightly flushing at her sentence.

"Does my Culinary talent leave room for improvement." he said, imitating General Hammond from earlier. "I don't know." she replied, "You haven't showed me all your talents." She then pulled his head to hers and kissed her more passionately than ever. Colien pushed her onto the bed and layed her down on her back. "Are you sure you want this?" he asked

"I have never been so sure of anything in my entire life." she replied, with honesty and lust. He kissed her neck and traced her shoulder bone with his fingers as he did so. Sam undid the buttons on his shirt and he unzipped her top. "I love you." said Colien, as he kissed her. Sam just took of his trousers and then answered "I love you, too." Holding onto him as he took off the remainder of her clothes. She then let him take control of the rest of the night.

Sam stood in the kitchen at her home, wearing a small dress. Colien walked in and kissed her neck as she attempted to continue cooking dinner. "You know, I am glad General Hammond let me leave." She turned to face him, "Me too. I hope you are hungry, because I am going to show you some more of our culinary delights from this planet."

"I look forward to it." said Colien, not taking his face off her shoulder.

"You won't get anything if you don't stop kissing me." He let go of her. "Good, now please go into the living room and watch the TV."

"TV?" he asked

"Yeah, a box, that shows you images." She went into the living room and switched it on for him.

"You let Colien leave the base, sir?" asked Jack, worried

"Don't worry, Colonel, he is with Major Carter." said Hammond, "Besides I believe he won't tell anybody that he is from another planet."

"Oh good. Why is he with Carter?" asked Jack

"You're not jealous are you Jack?" asked Daniel

"No! It's just....maybe I'm the only one who feels that he is a bad man."

"He's just somebody who had his people leave him."

"Okay okay you win." said Jack "Do you think she's making more food."

"Well she promised me that she would make us all dinner."

"Really? I look forward to it."

"This is an extremely satisfying meal." said Colien, rubbing his stomach.

"I thought you might like it." said Sam. Taking his plate away.

"Thank you very much for the meal, I have enjoyed it." said Colien. "I now must ask you a question."

"What?" Sam asked.

"Last night, was there any way that we could have....reproduced."

"Oh...well yes. There is. Is that bad?"

"No, this is in fact a good thing. Have we?"

"Well I don't know. We'll see, won't we."

"No! I must know now."

"Colien."

"Please, could you find out for me. I need to know."

"Okay. I'll find out." said Sam, worried by the tone of voice he had just taken to her. Jonas Hansen was the last person to use that voice and look what happened there.

A few weeks later, Sam decided that she should find out. But although she had told Colien she would find out as soon as it was possible for her too, she now had the feeling she was. Lately, she was suffering morning sickness, and not quite enjoying cooking anymore as he make her queasy.

She sat on the bed, in the infirmary waiting for Janet. When Janet came upto her, Sam didn't need her to say anything. She could see the answer written on her face. "Sam, you are pregnant." But of course being any doctor, she spoke anyway. Sam felt her world washed away, sure, having a baby was great but WHO was she having this baby with. Lately things didn't feel right. He wanted to know whether they had concieved a child or not.

Sam walked into her room, and sat down and sighed. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. She stood back up and opened the door. "Hey!" said Colien. "You have been crying?" he asked

"Um yes. Colien, I'm pregnant....How come you wanted to know this?"

"I have not been honest with you Sam." said Colien, Sam felt her whole world fall apart at the sound of the words Not Honest. "I only came to your world, to further my race."

"But you said that they had left you. Was that not true, either?" she had tears flowing and she was allowing them. "No it wasn't."

"So you've been lying to me from day one."

"I truly am sorry."

"Sorry, isn't good enough. You have hurt me. And I let you do it. I can't believe I let it happen again. I even shared my secret with you."

"Secret?"

"The cooking! Why? Why did you lie?"

"I had too. And now I must go."

"What??? You ARE not leaving ME with YOUR child." she shouted.

"I have NO choice, Sam. I am dying." Sam just watched as he fell to the floor.

"Hey? You said you were dying , not about to die this very minute." Colien opened his eyes and looked at her face. He then closed them for the last time. Sam watched his life drain away from his body. Sam couldn't move, everything had happened so fast. Too fast. As if it hadn't happened. She slowly managed to get her body moving and walked out the door and pressed the alarm. She then leaned against the wall and slid down into a seated position.

When Jack and Hammond with some airmen arrived they found Sam crying on the floor, and a dead Colien inside. "Sam? What happened?" asked Jack

"He died." said Sam, sobbing

"Why? What happened?" asked Hammond

"He had done what he had come to do." said Sam, she then carried on sobbing in her arms. Jack couldn't believe it. He stared at her, and silently prayed that he would find out why.

There may be a sequel.
