AUTHOR'S NOTES: Stephali didn't supply any, so I'll do it for her. This is excellent stuff she writes and she's really very good at it. We're working on some stuff for Heliopolis which should be around soon but do look her up because she is one of the best poets I've ever known and loves her humour as well.

The klaxons sounded, warnings yelled
No iris code from SG1.
The General yet felt compelled
To let them through; the job was done.

Thankfull they had returned
From P4T N24.
Their clothes were singed, their packs all burned
They held the centre stage and more.

The General fixed them with a stare,
'You sent us no signal through,
Therefore we had to prepare
For Gould attacks instead of you.'

Jack lazily rose his right hand,
'With respect sir, it was just us.
We had no time to escape and
Send it. Sorry 'bout the fuss.

Daniel fainted, lost his glasses.'
Janet sighed but had to say,
'Where are his high clearance passes?'
Sam shrugged, 'Who cares anyway.'

Hammond fixed her with the look
That scares the new recruits to hell.
But no response, no action took
Meant he felt Carter was not well.

'Dr. Frasier check them out.
We'll debreif in half an hour
And see what this is all about.'
He then marched off, expression dour.

'Come on ma'am you've had your orders,'
Jack dragged Janet all the way.
She hooked him to her med. recorders
Told him that's where he would stay.

Teal'c was sent to the next bed,
Despite his symbiant's healing skills.
Daniel's tests said he was dead,
Which set off emergency drills.

'Come on Sam, here have some rest.
It's all part of SG1.'
'Janet you think you know best,
But you don't.' She raised a gun.

'Nobody move or else she dies!'
Sam's voice echoed down the hall.
Ignoring Janet's plaintive cries,
She forced her up against a wall.

The gun a fraction from her brain,
Janet hoped and wished and prayed,
That Sam had not gone insane
About a choice which she had made.

While this was happening Jack had
Smashed equipment to the floor.
Janet was certain he'd gone mad.
'You won't want these any more.'

Teal'c, holding a large rifle
Was forcing marines out the room.
Daniel did not try to stifle
His wicked laugh throughout the gloom.

Hamond boomed over the comm
'What the hell are you playing at?!
SG1 what has gone wrong?'
Daniel merely scowled and spat.

'As the leader of my team,
I'd like to declare us four
As not part of your military dream,
Instead against you, we want war!'

'Daniel listen to me please,'
Janet told herself to say.
'SG1 hold all the keys
To our life here, you have to stay.'

To her a flash of clarity,
SG1 had been replaced.
Despite all the barbarity,
Realisation had been faced.

The imposters she figured out,
Did not know the team too well.
Play it right and in about
Five minutes they'd be in hell.

'How are the kids, Teal'c and Sam?
Jack, how is your chicken farm?
Daniel tell me, as I am
So interested in your false arm.'

Suddenly the air went tense,
Puzzled looks in confused eyes.
Then a release of suspense
As each moved into their disguise.

Teal'c and Sam stepped close together,
A joining they tried to invoke.
Jack rambled about a wing feather,
Daniel promptly his arm broke.

Now she was free of Sam's tight grip,
Janet picked up a hand-gun.
She used up her entire clip
As she shot all SG1.

The next day she filed her report,
Explained to Hammond how she knew.
But half way in she was cut short,
As a wormhole was coming through.

The klaxons sounded, warnings yelled
No iris code from SG1.
Janet still yet felt compelled
To let them through; the job was done.

'Thank God we're though, since some dork
Twice let our GDO break down.'
That sounded more like the talk
Of the O'Neill of renown.

However as a final test,
Janet yelled 'I bought a cot,
For Teal'c and Sam's daughter Kest!'
And smiled as they shouted 'What?!'
