Hammond couldn't help but grin at the gate, as SG-1 came down the ramp, from their last mission. Hammond nods to Simmons, as he quickly makes his way down into the gate room. Jack takes his hat off, shaking his head to get the excess water off. Sam was stood beside him, getting the covered in most of the spray. He stops, sighing as he rubs his hair with his hands. Sam frowns at him; stepping past him and handing her equipment to an SF. Daniel and Jonas support each other as they walk down the ramp, the normal rivalry forgotten. Jack un-attaches his backpack, letting it drop onto the ramp, with him along with it, he lets out a pleased sigh. He unties his boot laces, kicking them off as the water pours out onto the floor. Teal'c picks up jack's backpack, before he walks pass them all, dripping water as he heads off to the locker room. Hammond slowly approaches Jack, who was slowly stripping off, in front of everyone. He throws his t-shirt into a pile, with his jacket. He looks up at Hammond; actually realising he was in the room. Sam turns round, about to say something to Jack, when she suddenly acquires a stutter. Jack looks at her, motioning for her to continue with his hand. She shakes her head, as she somehow motivated to leaves the gate room, with out a sound. She knocks into Jonas and Daniel, causing them both to moan their opinions of it. Jack shakes his head, peeling his socks off his feet.

Hammond: "Erm...Colonel"

Jack: "Yes, sir"

He finally manages to pull a sock off; he throws it into the pile of clothes, as he turns his attention to his other sock. Hammond wipes some of the oddly smelling water off his face, which had caught him when the sock was flung into the pile of clothes. Jack takes his other sock off, pushing himself off the ramp as he stands up. He picks up the pile of wet clothes, and then stands to attention in front of Hammond.

Hammond: "Colonel, I've been sent a letter to give to you, from the president"

Jack: "Oh, he actually got round to it. I thought it'd be a while till it came"

Hammond takes it out of his pocket, handing it towards Jack. Jack takes it, looking on both sides of envelop, and then shoves it into his pocket.

Hammond: "If you don't mind me asking, what's in the letter?"

Jack: "Oh, sir. You'll just have to wait and see". He walks off towards the door, turning round and walking backwards. "I'll tell ya, that it will be life changing for someone round here"

With that, Jack leaves Hammond speculating to, who that someone could be? But it didn't take much to know, who that lucky gal could be. The gal who had just left the gate room, with her new acquire stutter. He smiles to himself, walking up the steps into the control. He could hear some distinct shouting down the corridor.

Jack: "CARTER! CAN YOU SMELL THESES FOR ME?!"

There's a very loud crashing noise, as glass items smashed onto the floor. Hammond winches at the thought, of what expensive equipment had just been broken and would now need replacing.

Sam: "SIR! GET YOUR SOCKS OUT OF MY FACE! THEY SMELL TERRIBLE!"

Daniel: "JACK! WHAT HAPPEN? SOMETHING CRAWL INTO YOUR BOOT, AND DIE?"

Teal'c: "O'NEILL! I DO NOT WISH TO SMELL YOU'RE SOCKS! I WISHED NO ONE THE FATE OF HAVING TO SMELL THEM!"

Jonas: "COLONEL! CAN I BORROW YOUR SOCKS?"

Hammond shakes his head, looking at very amused Simmons, as he climbs the steps up to his office. Things round here were weird enough, without the thought of what they were doing. And why the hell would Jonas Quinn want Jack socks? Why would even Jack want his socks?

Jack opens the door to his office, just as he expected Daniel, Jonas and Teal'c, were already inside waiting for him. They had a new mission objective for just the boys, which he hoped Sam wouldn't hear about. Well, not until Operation Woo was under way. He nods to them all, closing the door behind him and locking it. He didn't want anybody walking in, or her to walk in to be exact. He takes a deep breathe, earning a funny look from the others. Daniel and Jonas look at one another; they shrug at each other as Jack sits down, in his seat behind his desk. Jack motions for them to sit down, they quickly grab a seat while Teal'c remains standing. He didn't know how to tell them, he needs their help but it's just putting it into words. He was just going to have to be point blank straight with them.

Jack: "Okay, I can do this. Daniel, do you remember what we spoke about in the car park, when I left the party?"

Daniel: (Frowns) "Yeah, about your gift from the president"

Jack: "Yeah, well. I got the reply back today"

Daniel immediately gets up, looking through the In-tray and then through the Out-tray. Jonas looks at Teal'c, he watches Daniel and then at Jack. Jack couldn't help but grin at him; he was so cold he would never find it, especially when it was still in his pocket. He shakes his head, reaching into his pocket and pulls it out, waving it front of Daniel's face. Daniel's eyes lit up in an instinct, reaching out for it as it was pull away and hidden from sight.

Jack: "Now, now Danny-boy. Don't want to get your grubby finger prints on it now, do we?"

Daniel: "Is it what I think it is?"

Jonas: "What? What is it?"

Teal'c: "Jonas Quinn, it is a letter"

Jonas looks at him, shaking his head as he returns his attention back to Jack and Daniel's conversation. Daniel drops back into his seat, grabbing hold of the arms of the chair, in anticipation of Jack's answer. Jack slowly leans forwards in his chair, opening the envelop, and carefully pulling the letter out.

Jack: "Dear Colonel Jonathon O'Neill. I have granted your request, to allow you and a Major Samantha Claire Carter, to able to see each other more than platonic. From receiving this letter, this wished will be in force...yada yada yada"

Daniel: "Well, what you waiting for? Go get her tiger"

Daniel gets up, grabbing hold of Jack's arm and trying to pull him to his feet. Jack grabs hold of the desk, preventing Daniel pulling him up. Jack looks at Teal'c, giving him a pleading look of help. Teal'c raises an eyebrow, as he crosses to Daniel, grabbing him by the collar and pulls him away. Daniel looks at them all, seeming a little confused as was Jonas, who had no idea of what was going on. Jack straightens his shirt, shaking his head at Daniel. Teal'c releases Daniel; Daniel stands their waiting for explanation.

Jack: "Daniel, if you'd waited for me to finish, you would know why I'm stopping myself, going down their and doing things I'm not at liberty to say to you guys"

Jonas: "Either it's a military thing, or I've been left out the loop, but what's going on?"

Teal'c: "O'Neill, has permission to see Major Carter"

Jonas: "I thought, he was supposed to ask her father permission?"

Jack: "That can wait, at the moment everything legal. So now, we can actually see each other"

Daniel suddenly crosses his arms, pacing forward and backwards in front of Jack's desk. Jack follows him with his head; he felt he was watching a bloody tennis match. Jack closes his eyes, slamming his hand down on the table, he knew this was going to be difficult, but he thought he wouldn't be able to tell them. Daniel immediately stops, leaning onto the edge of the desk with his hands. They both stare each other in the eye, oblivious to Jonas and Teal'c's presences.

Jack: "Daniel"

Daniel: "Jack"

Jack: "What you thinking?"

Daniel: "I'm thinking, why are we in his office, when he should be talking with Sam?"

Jack: "Because we need to plan, Operation Woo"

Jonas: "Operation Woo? What's that?"

Teal'c: "I believe it is to woo, Major Carter. Is it not, O'Neill?"

Jack: "Teal'c, go to the top of the class"

Teal'c raises his eyebrow; Jack waves a dismissive hand at him, before returning his attention back to Daniel. Daniel crosses his arms over his chest, as he looks at Jack. Jonas slowly rises out of his chair, coming to stand next to Daniel. They both look at one another, immediately turning their backs to one another. Jack shakes his head, sitting back down in his sit.

Daniel: "So, is that what you're going to do?"

Jack: "Not, me. Us"

Jonas: "I don't want to woo her"

Teal'c: "I think, O'Neill means for all of us to help him"

Jack: "Don't let anyone say your stupid, T"

Teal'c nods his head, slightly grinning from the remark. Jonas and Daniel glance at each other over their shoulders. As soon as they see the other, they quickly turn their attention to the wall in front of them. Jack gets out of his chair, grabbing them both by the shirt, and pulling them down onto the table.

Jack: "Would you two, stop acting like six year olds?! You're driving me nuts, with this stupid competition you've got going!"

Daniel: "Were not competing! Maybe arguing, but not competing"

Jonas: "Yeah, what he said"

Jack: "Just...sit down"

He lets go of them, dropping back into his seat. They both look at one another, sitting down at the same time, into a chair next to each other. Jack sighs, leaning onto the desk, as he rubs his face. There's a knock at the door, Jack immediately jumps to his feet, staring at the door. There's another knock, and then someone tries the door handle.

Jack: "Who is it?"

Sam: "It's me, sir. I was wondering if you wanted to go and have lunch. I can't find Daniel, Jonas or Teal'c anywhere"

Jack: "Err..." He steps round his desk, motioning for them to hide. They frown at him, as they all move behind the door. He unlocks the door, opening just enough to slip his head through. "Ah...Carter. Talk of the devil"

Sam: "Sir?"

Jack: "Never mind, err...lunch? Can't, meeting with the guys...in town. That's probably why you can't find them"

Sam: "I could have sworn, I heard Daniel's voice in your office"

She moves to take a peep inside; he quickly pushes her out of the way, and comes full out of his office, shutting the door behind him. Sam looks at him, she knew he was up to something; he never kept his door lock, especially to her. He stuttering, he's nervous about something, she didn't know what it was, but she was going to find out.

Jack: "Err...ma...maybe...if yo...u...come ba...ck in...10mins"

Sam: "Sir? Are you okay?"

Jack: "Yeah, sure I am. Why wouldn't I be? What have you heard? It's not true, none of it. I was going to..."

Sam: "Whoa...whoa...whoa. Hold your horses there, what might I have heard?"

Jack: "You haven't heard? Thank god. Operation..." He smiles at her, realising she was still there.

Sam: "Heard what? And what operation?"

Jack: "Oh, erm...haven't heard that...Jonas and Daniel haven't argue for over an hour"

Sam: "Right, and operation what?"

Jack: "Operation...on my knee. Doc put me down, to have the cartilage replaced with something"

She nods her head at him, not quite believing him as he stands there smiling. Just because she didn't know right at that moment, what he was up to didn't mean she wouldn't find out. The walls of the SGC have ears and eyes you know. She could hear shouting in his office again, sounding more and more like Jonas and Daniel. The door flings open with Daniel coming out choking and holding his throat. He runs off down the corridor, clutching his throat. Jonas comes out, a sock over one his hands as he smiles in triumph.

Jack: "For Cryin' Out Loud! Can't I leave you two, for five minutes?"

Teal'c: "Jonas Quinn, did warn Daniel Jackson"

Sam: "What? I thought you said, they were in town"

Jonas: "He won't be arguing with me for a while" he takes the sock off his hand, and gives it to Jack. "Here you go, Colonel. Thanks for letting me borrowed it"

Jack just stares at the sock in his hand, as Jonas struts away down the corridor. Teal'c stands there, if only the man could smile, it would make his day. Sam hits Jack on the arm, making his drop the sock, as he rubs his arm.

Jack: "What was that for?!"

Sam: "That was for lying to me! This is for sticking that sock in my face early!"

She punches him in the other arm, turning round and storming off down the corridor. Jack stands there, both his arms were dead. He never thought; he would receive a dead arm off her, especially two at the same time. Teal'c raises his eyebrow, turning back into Jack's office. Well, at least Jack could count on Teal'c in his time of need. He walks back into his office, kicking the door shut behind him.

They were all four of them, sat round one of the tables in the commissary. They found since the incident the other day, Sam was steering clear of them and of Jack. He hadn't spoken to her, and she hadn't spoken to him. But that hadn't stopped him, from planning Operation Woo. All they had to do was plan how he was going to do it. Daniel hadn't spoken to anyone, since having Jack's sock shoved down his throat. Jonas ego had taken a big boost, since the incident and kept telling the story to anyone who would listen, including the Tok'ra visitors they had yesterday. Teal'c being Teal'c, kept his mouth shut about he incident, both Teal'c and Jack were keeping their mouths shut about it. Neither of them, wanted gets stuck between the other two, when Daniel's temper finally got the better of him. Daniel suddenly sighs, unfolding his arms.

Daniel: "So, how are we going to do Operation Woo?"

Jack: "Well, I have no idea. I thought about just asking her on a day out, with all of us. But with us having a sort of date, if you know what I mean. Were having a date, but she doesn't know. But I don't really know how to put it..."

Daniel: "Man of a few words?"

Jack nods his head, taking a bite out of his sandwich. Jonas starts rubbing hi chin, the man was thinking, and if the man was thinking, he was coming up with a plan. Daniel was playing with his glasses, another sign, the man was thinking as well. Jack looks at Teal'c, Teal'c was ready and waiting for them, to lose it and go at it. Jack quickly turns, when both of them at the same time, hit the table with their hand.

Jonas and Daniel: "We could tell you, what to say!"

They both look at each other, each of them weighing up the other one. Slowly they turn their heads, back to face Jack and Teal'c. Jack slowly lets his breathe out, things were starting to heat up around here, and for once it had nothing to do with him. Well, at least he thought it didn't.

Jack: "How are we supposed to do that? I can't really have you sitting next to me"

Daniel: "The surveillance van, we still have it in storage right?"

Jack: "Yeah, it's in the bases vehicle depot"

Jonas: "You could use the equipment in that. Right, Daniel?"

Daniel: (Mumbling) "Well, of course stupid" (Talks normal) "You could wear an ear piece, and a mic, so we could work out responses to some of her questions"

Teal'c: "Will not Major Carter notice the ear piece in O'Neill's ear?"

Daniel: "No, it will just slip inside his ear. There should be no visible signs of it"

Jack: "I'll see if I can get my hands on the keys. Can one of you, see what Carter's doing this week?"

They all looks at one another, Daniel sighs nodding his head, as he gets up and heads out into the corridor. Jack watches Daniel turn the corner, and then turns his attention to Jonas, who was smiling smugly to himself.

Jack: "Are you ever going to apologise?"

Jonas: "Colonel, he started it. When he apologises to me, I'll apologise to him"

Jack: "How about, if neither of you apologise to one another, I'll keep you off all missions, until you tow sort this stupid argument out?"

Teal'c: "O'Neill does have a point. If we were in a battle situation, and you and Daniel Jackson were squabbling. Your attention would be distracted"

Jonas: "I'll apologise" Jack gives him a stern look. "Okay, okay. I'll do it after lunch"

Jack smiles at him, patting Teal'c on the shoulder as he stands up. He had things to do, and bribing someone, into giving him a set of keys. Now, where did he put those hockey tickets?

The van slowly parks up, a few houses down from Sam's house. From where they were, they could see her house clearly. Her bike park in the driveway, a light was on in the house, showing that she was actually home. Jack had been lucky; he found those tickets at the last minute. He really wanted to go to the game, but there would be other games. Another chance like this one was so rarely there, as they were either off world or it wasn't the right moment. Jack puts the van into park, as he turns on his seat and goes into the back. Jonas apology didn't go down well; Daniel had kicked him out of his lab, as soon as he opened his mouth to speak. Now they were sat either side of the van, making the odd comment about each other. Jack looks at Teal'c, who just tilts his head to one side. Daniel stands up, handing Jack the ear piece.

Daniel: "Now, we'll be in fine as long as you down do off somewhere. Damn thing only has a 3 mile radius"

Jack: Slipping the ear piece in. "Daniel, I'm only going to be 50 feet away"

Daniel: "Oh, yeah. Anyway, lift your shirt" Jack pulls his shirt out of his jeans, Daniel starts taping the wire to his skin. "Now, whatever you do. Don't squash it, or you'll deafen us"

Daniel shoves the transmitted into the back of his jeans. If this was any other situation, he would have made a comment, but it didn't really think it was the right time. Daniel taps him on the shoulder; Jack lowers his shirt not bothering to tuck it in. Daniel puts the head set on, adjusting the mic to be in front of his mouth.

Daniel: "Testing, 1, 2, 3"

Jack: "I hear you" Lowers his head, to the mic on his chest. "Yo! Danny!"

Daniel: "Bloody hell! Ah...that was loud"

Jack: "Do you want me to do it again?"

Daniel: "No!"

Jack smiles at him, patting him on the shoulder, as he steps pass him. Jonas moves his chair forward, allowing more room to get pass him. Jack pats him on the back, stepping pass him and to the door. Teal'c opens the door, holding it open for him, as he jumps out onto the street. Jonas opens a bag he brought with him; he takes his radio out, and sticks the ear phones into his ears. Daniel adjusts his head set, as he talks to Jack.

Jack: "Now, were only asking her out on a so call team building day, right? Were not going to go all mushy?"

Daniel: "Right. You do realise, she might want to whoop you butt after this"

Jack: "She can whatever she wants" Starts walking towards her house, Teal'c closes the back door. Jack forgets their listening. "She can tie me down to the bed, and have her way with me. Wearing a cute little..."

Daniel: "Jack! We are listening!"

Jack: "Sorry. I'm approaching the door"

Daniel: "Stop talking to yourself, or she'll know something up"

Jack: "Sorry"

Daniel: Covering the mic, he talks to Teal'c. "I really can't believe him sometimes"

At Sam's

Jack knocks on the door; he could hear some music inside and foots steps coming to the door. He starts getting nervous, his hands were sweating and she hadn't even opened the door yet. He quickly shoves them into his pockets, just as she opens the door, flooding light out onto the small porch. Jack just smiles at her, while she stands there with a frown. She looks out behind him, seeing if anyone else was with him. She moves aside, letting him in without a word. He steps inside, it was nice and warm, even if it was the beginning of summer. She closes the door, walking off into the kitchen. Daniel: "Are you inside?" He looks round for something, what could he do, to show he was inside.

Jack: "Nice house, did the decorating yourself?"

Not a word, the house falls into an eerie silence as she turns the music off. He takes a few steps towards the kitchen; she was sitting on a stool, drinking a beer. He slowly enters, she motions for him to take a seat. He nods his head, quickly sitting down before she changes her mind. She pushes a beer in front of him, and then leans down onto the kitchen counter. Daniel: "Where are you? Is Sam there?"

Jack: "Nice kitchen, Carter"

Sam: "It was like this, when I moved in"

(Daniel: "Tell her you're sorry about the other day)

Jack: "Carter, about the other day. I'm sorry, that I lied to you, but we were...

(Daniel: "Having a boy talk)...but we were talking men things"

He felt such an idiot; she would see through that one, he never talked about things like that with anyone. Unless of course, he was in that damn chair, with Anise's thingy in front of him. She looks up at him, shaking her head as she takes a sip of her beer.

Sam: "Well, I'm sorry for hitting you. Doc told me about the bruises"

Jack: "I wasn't worry about the bruises; my arms were dead for hours. Teal'c had to keep coming to my aid"

Sam: "Poor Teal'c"

She starts giggling; he couldn't help but smile himself. His chest was starting itch now; the damn tape was annoying him. He gently rubs the area, through his shirt. (Daniel: "Stop doing that, whatever you're doing, stop it!" Jack immediately grabs his beer; he needed something to take his attention away from his itch. (Daniel: "Okay, tell her about the day out. Say its day out somewhere")

Jack: "Carter...err...Hammond's told me that the team, needs to do some team building. Take a day out together"

Sam: "More like Daniel and Jonas do"

(Daniel: "I heard that, you wait till I see her")

Jack: "Yeah, but we all need to do some as well. Like Daniel could really start helping me more"

Sam: "What the hell with?"

(Daniel: "Tell her understanding languages")

Jack: "Well, I really should learn some of these stupid languages" (Radio: "Good evening everyone, and welcome to Colorado night talk. We have a caller...Daniel: "Jack? Jack? Can you hear me?"

Jack: "What the hell was that?"

Sam: "What was what?"

(Daniel: "Jonas, turn that off! It's interrupting the signal!")

Jack: "Erm...I thought I saw something outside the window, it's gone now"

Sam: "Right, anyway. What sort of day out would it be?"

(Daniel: "JONAS! I'M WARNING YOU! RIGHT THAT'S IT! (Crashing around)

Jack winces at the noise going on in his ear; they were really going at it, and from the sound of it, trashing the van. Sam looks at him, what the hell's he wincing at? Jack couldn't stand the sound in his ear anymore; he pretends to scratch his ear, slipping the ear piece out, and into his pocket. He had to do this, even without the back up that was trashing the van. He could hear from where he was in the kitchen, that things were getting hectic out there. Sam taps his on the arm, gaining his attention. He smiles as he takes a sip from his beer.

Jack: "What sort of day? Err...picnic sort of thing, with activities and that sort of thing. Team building exercises"

Sam: "When?"

Jack: "Err...this Saturday"

Sam: "Great, do you want me to bring anything?"

Jack: (placing a hand on her shoulder) "Just you and your smile will do"

She smiles, resting her hand on his wrist. She could feel something underneath his shirt; she looks at it, to see the bracelet she'd given him. He follows her gaze, noticing his hand was lingering longer than necessary; he quickly removed it, placing it on his knee. The smashing noise coming from the direction of the van was still going on. He had to get out there, and put a stop to it.

Jack: "Well, as that's sorted. (Standing up) Were meeting at my house, at say 0600hrs?"

Sam: "Why so early?"

Jack: "My secret. Oh, there's another thing you can add to your list to bring"

Sam: "What?"

Jack: "Swimming suit and an over night bag"

Sam: "Huh? Thought it was a day out?"

Jack: "It is, but we might as well make a weekend of it. Just you, me and the kids"

Sam: "What? Me and you four? I'll lose my sanity"

Jack: "Huh? You go off world with the four of us. What's so different about this weekend?"

Sam: "Nothing, I just get fed up sometimes, that it's just me and boys. Sometimes I like to have some female company"

Jack: "Fine then, if you can get Janet and Cassie to come, they can. I've gotta go, got the children to put into order"

And he meant it literally; this had gone on long enough. He nods his head, heading back to the door. He notices her getting up, he stops waving his hand at her.

Jack: "I'll let myself out; you stay and finish off my beer"

Sam: "Okay, sir. See ya on Saturday"

Jack: "And on Saturday, lose the sir. It's Jack at weekends"

Sam: "Okay, Jack"

He smiles, quickly turning back towards the door. The smile on his face soon fades, as he steps out onto her porch. From where he stood, the van looked fine, except for it moving side to side. He shakes his head, breaking out into a sprint towards it. He runs round the back, to find Teal'c stood by the door.

Jack: "What's going on?"

Teal'c: "Jonas Quinn was interrupting the signal, Daniel Jackson asked him to turn it off and then..."

Jack: "Don't want to hear" He opens the doors, both of them were on the floor, pulling at clothing and then the odd fist connected with the other. (Command tone) "Get the hell up, NOW!"

They both stop instantly, looking at one another and then baling out the van as fast as they could. Jack shakes his head at them, as he assesses the damage to the van's equipment. Two of the control panels were smashed, a monitor was cracked and wires were handing out from various control panels. Jack turns round to them, they were both laughing. Jack couldn't help but smile, they finally had gotten out of their system. Teal'c just raises an eyebrow, taking a look at the damage for himself.

Jack: "It takes putting you two in van, full of expensive equipment, to sort your problems out?"

Daniel: "And a cheap radio"

Jonas: "Don't forget listening to Colonel and the Major"

Jack: "God knows how this is going to get reported"

Jonas: "Could always say it got vandalised"

Jack shakes his head, getting into the van and then the others follow him. Even with this incident, he managed to do it by himself after all. He smiles to him, starting up the engine and begins the journey back to the base.

Jack was nervous, he'd never been this nervous in his whole life, not even when it was his wedding day, was he this nervous. But this was a whole different situation, whole different woman and whole new set of rules, he would have to learn. The guys were already at his house, they'd spent the night, not wanting to go in and pick up Teal'c and Jonas from the base. Jack had been stood waiting at the end of his drive for Carter, Doc and Cassie to turn up. His truck was packed to high heaven, with all the food and the bags. They may have only been going for day and night, but they had enough food to last them into autumn. But then he had to blame himself, he shouldn't have send Teal'c and Jonas off with his credit card, for the food. They were all sat in his truck, which was at the end of his drive, with him leaning on it. Daniel was sat in front, with a bandage round his head, from having it smashed into a monitor. Jonas sat in back with Teal'c, with a support bandage round his wrist. They all had a hard time explaining to Janet, how they had gotten their injuries. Jack could see then coming, the Doc's car wasn't hard to miss, with a 16 year old sticking her head through the sun roof. They pull up and get out. Jack quickly stops them unpacking, by placing his hand on the boot of the car.

Jack: "Not stopping here. Do you think you'll be able to follow us? We've got some driving ahead of us"

Janet: "Where we going?"

Jack: "Somewhere peaceful and out of the range mobile phones"

Sam: "Knowing you, it's probably your cabin"

He smiles at them, turning round and jogging to get into his truck. All three of them jump back into Janet's car, pulling away as soon as Jack did.

They had made good time; normally it would take Jack an hour or two to get here. But as they didn't stop, they didn't really lose anytime. Jack pulls up to a stop, in front of his cabin. The sun was shinning, the smell of fresh air hitting him as he got out and took a walk round. He could hear Janet's car come into the clearing, with Cassie's shouting her opinion as they came to a stop. They all bail out of the vehicles, following Jack around for the little tour. Cassie immediately went off into the house, doing a quick sweep in there, before she explores her surroundings. Jack walks out onto the fishing deck, looking over the water to the far side. He could hear them all; saying their opinions of how great it was and that there was hardly a sound. Jack turns round, taking his sunglasses off and slipping them into his shirt pocket.

Jack: "Well, campers. Let's sort sleeping arrangements out, and then get on with our day"

Sam: "What actually are we doing? Because I'm not spending my time fishing"

Teal'c: "Neither will I"

Jack: "No, no. Just treat it like a vacation, just spend your time relaxing and getting to know one another better"

They all start nodding, and head into the cabin. Cassie was running round like a blue arse fly; she was looking in one room then the next, slamming doors as she goes. Jack couldn't help but laugh; this was exactly the same way Charlie had reacted, when he first brought him up here. Janet shakes her head, dragging Teal'c outside to help unpack her car. Jonas and Daniel went off merrily to unpack the truck. Cassie finally came to a stand still in the living room, staring at everything before she went to run outside. She goes to run passed Sam, when she grabs her by the shoulders, pulling her to a stand still.

Sam: "Whoa...exploring out side can wait, go help your mother with unpacking"

Cassie lets out a frustrated sigh, as she slowly went outside to help Janet and Teal'c. Jonas comes in, big smile on his face as he carries a box of food into the kitchen. Sam frowns at him, following him into the kitchen. She starts lifting things out of the box, and putting them on the counter.

Sam: "Err...are we feeding the five thousand, or something, sir? I mean...Jack"

Jack: (Shaking his head) "Jonas and Teal'c went nuts, with my credit card. I'm going to be paying it off, forever now"

Jonas: "It wasn't that bad, at least I stop Teal'c buying everything on two of the aisles"

With that, Jonas disappears outside again. Jack shakes his head, coming into the kitchen to put things away. Sam already started putting things into the fridge, she was being so careful where she place things. Jack leans back against the counter top, watching her put things away. He could get use to this, seeing the other side to Major Carter, the Sam part of her. She turns round, he smiles at her and she smiles back, taking some more things out of the box and putting them in the cupboards. Daniel comes in, huffing and puffing as he carries a box. Jack looks at him; he was slowly sinking to the floor. Jack shakes his head, quickly taking the box away from him, but then he soon regretted it as the full weight of the box, was shifted onto his arms. He quickly turns, placing the box on the counter. Jack sank down onto the floor, he was strong but that box was heavy, heavier than the fridge probably. Daniel crawls over to him, sitting up into a sitting position.

Jack: "I get the feeling, Teal'c carried that one"

Daniel: "Unless Jonas is stronger than he looks, he did throw me into that monitor from one end of the van"

Sam: "What van?"

Jack: "The surveillance van"

Daniel hits him on the arm; Jack clasps his mouth, wishing he hadn't said anything. Sam kneels down in front of them; she looks from one to the other. Then she just shakes her head, standing up as she offers a hand up to both of them. They both take her hand, pulling them selves up and doing a little stretched.

Sam: "I don't want to know, if I don't know, I won't get into trouble"

Daniel: "Wouldn't want that"

He heads back outside, as Cassie and Teal'c come in; Cassie was carrying a little back pack and went running off into one of the room. Teal'c was carrying nearly everything, except for the kitchen sink. He nods his head, following Cassie into one of the bedrooms. Sam carries on unpacking the food. Daniel and Jonas come in, carrying their backpacks and Teal'c's. Jack didn't need any clothes, as he had a supply at his cabin. They head off into one of the bedrooms, while Janet comes in with a box. She places it down on the dining table, and starts unpacking it. It had a cd player and nearly the whole of Cassie's collection and hers put together.

Jack: "Okay, hold on a minute. I've got a Hi Fi in the corner"

Janet: "Oh, right. Well, I'll put this back in the car"

She smiles at him, picking up the CD player and heading out to her car. Jack shakes his head, heading off into his own bedroom. Sam couldn't help but grin, he was so adorable it was hard not to.

They had everything pack away, the sleeping arrangements made. The girls in one room, the boys in another and Jack in his own, king size bed of his own. They were all sat outside, Jonas and Daniel talking about cultures and languages, they had both taken their bandages off, the bruises and cuts showing visibly. Teal'c sat on the edge of the deck, his feet dip in the water, as he followed the example Cassie was making. Jack was off somewhere in the house, Sam and Janet were sitting on chairs reading their books and having a chat at the same time. Daniel and Jonas slowly approach Janet and Sam; Jonas drops into the seat next to Sam, smiling at her as he took a sip of his drink. They all had gotten change, as it had started to warm up. Sam and Janet were wearing their swimming costumes, with a pair of shorts over the top. The boys were just wearing their shorts; Teal'c had put a t-shirt on to cover up his pouch. Daniel was about to say something, when he was lifted off his feet and thrown into the water. Jack immediately starter laughing, the sight of Daniel splashing around was too much for him. The others start laughing, as Daniel crawls his way onto the shore. Jack slowly walks out onto the deck, keeping an eye behind him for when Daniel try to get revenge. Cassie stands up with her swimming costume on; there was nothing to show she was a little girl anymore. Jack wasn't sure if he should be looking at her, but then she was still a little girl to him. She goes to pass him, when he grabs her, lifting her up and then drops her into the water. Jack could hear someone running up behind him, he waits a second and then steps out the way, letting Daniel fall straight back into the water. Jack couldn't help but laugh, then he felt someone hands rest on his back. He had to be precise with his timing, this was Jonas behind him, and if he didn't get it right, he'd be push in without bringing Jonas with him. He turns quickly, grabbing hold of their wrists just before they fell into the water. Jack comes up for air, wiping his hair back over his head. He looks around him, Cassie was pushing Daniel under water, and Teal'c and Jonas were fighting on the deck. Jonas? How did he get out the water so fast, and get super dry? Teal'c manages to trip Jonas up, sending flying into the water backwards. Unless, it been someone else, he looks to where Janet and Sam had been sitting. There was just Janet sat there, laughing so much she was half way off her chair. No sign of Sam anywhere, he looks at Daniel, and then at the other two. So, where was she? He felt a pair of hands come down on his head, pushing under the water. He takes a deep breathe, letting them push him down. He turns round under the water; he could see a nice pair of legs, through the murky water. Jack shakes his head, swimming over to where Cassie's legs were kicking around. A slight smile crosses his face, pulling her legs down and then he quickly swims to the other side of the deck. As he came through the surface, he could hear Sam asking where he was. He slowly pulls himself onto the deck, crouching down behind Teal'c and Janet, who was now standing on the edge of the dock, looking over into the water. That wicked smile of his crosses his face, as he pushes them both into the water. Sam bursts out laughing, watching as Janet starts waving her hands around, trying to regain her balance, but there was nothing she could do and soon fell in next to Teal'c, who was now standing straight up in the water, with only his head appearing. Janet comes to the surface, spitting the water out of her mouth. Jack couldn't help but grin at his actions, they were all in the water, laughing and having a good time. Sam was smiling her head off; if her smile got any bigger her face would crack. Jack starts smiling at her, she looks up at him, smiling back at him and then a sudden look of horror crosses her face. Jack felt a sudden hand come to his back, and then he was falling into the water again. He comes up to the surface, spitting the water out of his mouth. Daniel was stood on the deck, dancing some kind of victory dance.

They had dinner and were now seating round the fire place, Teal'c and Cassie sat on floor, while Cassie put make up on him. He was being a sport about it, he hadn't said a single word after his protests went unheard, and just let her get on with it. Janet and Sam were sat on the crouch, giggling at the sight of Teal'c. Jonas and Daniel had pull two of the dining tables chairs up, and were seating in the space between the crouch and the arm chair. Jack of course, was sat in his chair, watching everyone especially Sam, who hadn't notice him staring at her. Janet looks at her watch, them mumbles something to Sam, sending her off outside to Janet's car.

Janet: "Come on, Cassie. Time for bed"

Cassie: "But I don't want to go, can't I stay up another..."

Janet: "No! Now bed!"

Cassie: "I'll go, if Jack plays a song"

Jack: "Play what?"

Cassie: "The guitar I found in the bedroom"

Jack didn't know what she was on about, well, he had an idea, but that was at his house. He just looks at her blankly, she sighs getting up off the floor and disappears off into the bedroom. Sam comes in, with a big grin on her face as she places a box on the dining table. She picks a bottle of wine out of it, looking at the label, as Cassie comes back from the bedroom, carrying a guitar. Jack closes his eyes; he thought he took that back to his house. He sighs; opening his eyes to find the guitar was being shoved into his hands. He takes it off her; she smiles at him, returning to her place on the floor, next to Teal'c. Sam opens the bottle of wine, taking no interest in what they were doing. She comes in, with a tray of glasses and the bottle. She frowns at him, placing the tray on the coffee table. Jack shakes his head, testing each of the strings.

Sam: "Anyone gonna explain?"

Janet: "Cassie wants the Colonel to play her a song, before she'll go to bed.

Colonel, you don't have to you know"

Jack: "Let's just hope I haven't lost my touch. I haven't play this damn thing, since Charlie died and that was a while ago"

He fiddles with on of the knobs, until the string sounds right. He starts playing a tune, and then when he was happy with it, he did a big stroke down the strings. He looks at them all, he didn't want to touch this damn thing, the last time he played it, and it was for Charlie's eighth birthday. He needed a drink; he closes his eyes and opens them, to find Sam passing him a glass of wine. He takes it, downing it in one and then places it on the floor next to him. He takes a deep breathe and then starts playing the song, which Charlie had always liked. He closes his eyes, seeing the image of Charlie in front of him, and then it changed to Sam. He smiles to himself, but keeps his eyes closed

Jack: "Eleven days,
A dozen nights,
A thousand tears,
And you are my shoulder
From summer's haze, on morning light,
The sun is rising,
Just like I told you,

They were all silent, listening to every strum of the guitar. Sam had never imagined he could play; he was enjoying it from the looks of things, as he's smiling like a Cheshire cat.

If you fall -
I'll never let your spirit break,
If you call -
I'll always soothe the cries you make,
If it's all I can do -
I'll slowly kiss your dreams awake,
You're alone for heavens sake,
Mercury Rising

From winter skies,
A cold embrace -
The shadows meet,
And they drag you under...
The moonlight's mine
And yours to case -
Your star is rising,
Beyond your wonder

If you fall -
I'll never let your spirit break,
If you call -
I'll always soothe the cries you make,
If it's all I can do -
I'll slowly kiss your dreams awake,
You're alone for heavens sake,
Mercury Rising

Sam couldn't help but let a small tear escape down her cheek; the song was beautiful, especially as he was singing it. His face was showing such emotion, it was the first time she seen him let down that barrier, and let people see his emotions.

You're not alone for heaven sake,
Your tears run so freely,
Your fears run so deeply down...
The pressure is breaking -
Quicksilver awaking now...

Can you feel it rise?
Can you see it rise?
Droplets of dreams
That your touched disappear...
There's change in the weather,
And wind in your hair,

And Mercury's Rising
Mercury's Rising
Rising
Rising
Rising
Mercury's rising

Eleven days,
A dozen nights,
A thousand tears...
And you are my shoulder
From summer's haze, on morning light,
The sun is rising...
Just like you told you"

He slowly opens his eyes; they were all silent as he places the guitar, by the side of his chair. He shakes his head, it felt like someone had die or something, the way they were all silent. He looks at them all; Cassie had fallen to sleep onto Teal'c, who was collecting her into his arms. He carries her off to her bedroom. Jack looks at the others; Sam was wiping her face, as she pours wine into the other glasses. Daniel suddenly pats Jack on the arm, standing up and disappearing off to the bathroom. Jonas looks at Janet, who was crying all over his cushions.

Janet: "Colonel, that was beautiful. Did you write it yourself?"

Jack: "Err...when I was younger, back in the Stone Age times"

Sam snorts, covering her mouth with her hand. He smiles at her, at least he lighten the mood for someone. Teal'c comes back from the bedroom; he goes into the kitchen and starts washing the make up off. Daniel comes back, the sound of the toilet flushing as he sits down. Janet stops crying, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. Sam hands them all a drink, Teal'c comes and sits back where he was. Jack picks his glass up to Sam; she takes the hint by filling it up. He smiles at her, as he takes a sip and puts it on the floor. Janet suddenly grabs the now empty bottle, placing it on its side on the table.

Janet: "Right, now for some fun. Truth or dare anyone"

Jack: "I'm game"

Sam: "Include me, as long as I don't get anything to stupid"

Teal'c: "I will participate, as well"

Jonas and Daniel: "I'm in"

Janet smiles spinning the bottle, it stops on Jack, who suddenly lets a frustrated sigh out. Daniel leans over to him, whispering into his ear.

Daniel: "You can have some fun with this, you realise?"

Jack: "Really, you such a clever person Daniel. How could I have ever lived with out you?"

Daniel frowns at him, as he sits back into his seat. Janet looks at him, and then at all of them. Sam takes a sip of her drink, sitting back into the comfy couch.

Janet: "We'll take it turns. Who ever spins the bottle, they are the only ones who can make the dare or ask the question. Agree?"

All of them: "Yeah"

Janet: "So, Colonel? Truth or Dare?"

Jack: "I'm a daring man, so I'll have a dare"

Janet: "Err..." Daniel leans over to her whispers something into her ear. They smile at each other. "Well, sir. You have to kiss...Sam, for 5mins"

Jack: "That's easy"

Sam: "Eh up...your not allow to confer"

Janet: "You're only being like this, because it involves you"

Sam: "No, I'm not. I'll prove it"

Sam gets out of her seat, grabbing hold of Jack's face and kissing before he could even do anything. The others start grinning and giggling. Jack slowly wraps his arm round her waist, pulling her further towards him; she wraps her arms round his neck. Jonas taps Daniel, pointing towards them.

Daniel: "Hey you two. Are playing this game or not?"

Sam jumps out of his hold, shaking her head as she quickly takes her seat next to Janet. Jack slowly opens his eyes; he was enjoying that, and then it suddenly stop. He shakes his head, leaning forward spinning the bottle; it stops on between Jonas and Daniel. Sam couldn't stop grinning, she had really enjoyed that kiss, she was hoping the bottle would stop on her; maybe they could have the dare again. Jack looks at them, and then at Janet, she just shrugs at him.

Janet: "Give them both a dare"

Daniel: "Hey, were supposed to choose"

Jack: "Daniel, shut up and have a drink"

Jonas: "I don't mind"

Jack: "Okay, boys. Both of you outside strip and give the girls a show"

Jonas gets to his feet; walking out the door and leaving it open for Daniel. Daniel shakes his head, downing the rest of his drink. He glares at Jack, as he follows Jonas outside with Janet and Sam, right behind him.

Sometime later, Daniel had gone to bed, he was fed up of having to have dares, and found the only place he was safe from them, was tuck up in bed. Jonas had collapsed onto the floor; he was too exhausted to walk to the bedroom, so just fell off his chair onto the floor. Janet had wandered off sometime early to the bathroom, but never came back. Teal'c had given up, after being humiliated along with Daniel, and had gone outside to do his kel'nor'rim. The only ones left were Jack and Sam, but they had given up on the game and were just sat there, staring at something that caught their attention. Between them, they had drunk a whole case of wine, so were completely out of it. Sam gets up, staggering towards the Hi Fi; she looks at the CD collection and picks a cd out, reading the back of it. She opens the CD player, placing the cd inside and then presses play. She skips to the song she wanted, turning towards Jack as it started up.

Sam: "You never did dance with me, at your birthday party"

Jack: "Why? Wanna dance with me?"

Sam: "No, I wanna dance with Cleopatra over in the corner"

Jack raises his eyebrows, turning in his chair to the corner; she had pointed to and turning round to face her. She places her hands on her hips, tapping her foot off the floor. Jack sighs, pushing himself out of the chair, and climbs over Jonas's sleeping form, to get to her. He takes her into his arms, wrapping his arms round her waist. He was immediately intoxicated with her smell, the only other time this happen to him, was when they were captured by Hathor, and he'd held her close to stop her yelling out. Sam wraps her arms round his neck, pulling his head down to rest on her shoulder. She was enjoying this, even if it weren't allowed, this felt so right, to be in his arms. Jack start to listen to the song, he knew well as the song his parents dance too. He couldn't help, but find it ironic that he was dancing to it.

Hi Fi: "Last night I dreamed
Of you sweetheart
Once more loved me
You said we'd never part
It's dawn again
Oh how sad am I?
My dream ended
And tears fill my eyes

Sam could feel him smile into her hair; she leans back so she could see his face.

Sam: "What you smiling at?"

Jack: "Nothing really, just my parents used to dance to this"

Sam: "Were they Pasty Cline fans?"

Jack: "Kind of, more my mum was and dad just went along with it"

For once I know
You're promised
You said you'd keep
If I could only
Only stay asleep

She smiles to her self, resting her head on his shoulder, it was so soft and he was so warm, she could just drift off. Jack suddenly felt her go heavy; all her weight was on his neck, pulling him slowly down. He frowns pulling her up; he could hear her quietly snoring in his shoulder. He smiles to himself, bending down, and lifting her up on his shoulder. He turns to the Hi Fi, turning it off and then carries her off to the bed. Placing her on top of the duvet, he pulls a blanket out from underneath the bed, placing it over her as she settles into the bed. He strokes a stray hair off her forehead, smiling at her as he leaves the room, closing the door behind him. He thank god, he gotten out of there, before he was tempted to curl up next to her. He shakes his head, heading into his own bedroom, closing the door behind him. Tomorrow, Operation Woo would be put into its final stages.

Jack could hear people moving around, people chatting away to one another, and the sound of plates clanging together. He slowly turns over looking at the bedside clock, 0743hrs. Didn't theses people know how to have a lie in? He turns back over to go back to sleep, but the sound of something smashing on the floor, made him jump out of bed. What the hell were they doing? He flings the door open, running into the kitchen, to find Daniel and Jonas clearing up, something that had smash on the floor. The door behind him opens, he glances over his shoulder to see, the morning version of Major Carter. Hair sticking up at all angles, and the biggest yawn he'd ever seen. She must have woken up during the night, and got changed, as she was wearing a pair a shorts and a tank top. She comes to stop next to him, looking down at the mess on the floor.

Sam: "Some of us are trying to sleep"

She nods her head as hello to Jack, and then looks him up and down; he was only wearing his boxer shorts. He looks down at himself, and then returns to his bedroom, shutting the door behind him. He could leave her to sort them out, he drops onto the bed, wrapping the duvet around himself. He heard the door slightly open, and then foot steps were coming towards him. If that was Daniel, he was so going to kill him. Then a sudden weight, came down on his back, someone was bouncing up and down on his back.

Cassie: "Come on, Jack. Don't be so lazy and get up"

He needed someone's help, he couldn't bear turning round and shouting at her. He felt so old and tired, and now the reminders of last night were coming to his head. Then he heard another pair of footsteps come into the room. He knew them, they were stealthy, spreading their evenly on the floor.

Sam: "Cassie. Get off him"

The bouncing on his back was gone; he smiles to himself as he pulls the duvet around his neck. He could always count on her, she was probably feeling the same as him, wanting to go back to sleep and let the day pass by. The warmth around him was suddenly gone, he looks round to find his duvet gone, and the strains of blonde hair go through the doorway. He couldn't believe it, she taken off with his duvet, but something about it was strange. He wasn't angry or annoyed that she'd don't it, he was almost happy that she did. He gets off the bed, sprinting into the rest of the house, to find her going out the door.

Cassie: "RUN, SAM! HE'S COMING!"

Janet: "What's going on?"

Cassie: "Sam's showing me, how to wake Jack up"

Jack shakes his head, sprinting out the door after her; she was running around the back of the vehicles. He shakes his head, jogging to the back of Janet's car. She sprints off to the back of the cabin, he quickly runs after her, almost slipping on the dirt. She was running out onto the deck, he slows down, holding his hand out for duvet, as he walked towards her. She shakes her head, faking to go one way, and then runs in the other. He grabs her, holding her up in his arms, as he spins round with her struggling in his arms. The others come out, Cassie running towards them and trying to help Sam. She pulls the duvet from Sam so fast; it knocks Sam into Jack, making him take a step backwards. One minute he was standing on the decking, and then the next, he was swimming up to the surface. He breaks through the surface, he looks up to see a hand being offer to him. He grabs it, and they pull up out of the water. He coughs a little, looking round to see Teal'c, picking Sam out of the water. She was laughing in a hysterics, as was everyone else.

Jack: "All I wanted was a lie in; I didn't want to go swimming again"

Sam: "You should have seen your face, when I took the duvet"

Janet: "You two should go and get clean up. Don't want to catch pneumonia now, do we?"

Jack shakes his head, as he passes them, showering them all with the drips off his hair. Daniel playful hits him, as he passes him and follows him inside. Sam wraps her arms around herself, just starting to feel the chill of the water on her skin.

Daniel had set the breakfast out on the table, pancakes, cereal, toast, French toast, waffles, harsh browns, eggs, bacon, scramble eggs, hard boiled eggs, and lots more. They had to used as much stuff up as possible, especially the diary products. Jack comes in from the bed room, drying his hair with a towel, as he pours himself a cup of coffee. Sam was already at the table, taking her selection from the plates. Teal'c had two plates full of food, and was sat on the floor, in front of the fireplace eating it. Cassie was sat next to him, eating her cereal as she glances at Jonas now and then. Janet comes in from the bedroom, doing a little stretch, as she reaches for a cup above her head. Jack holds the coffee pot to her, she nods h head, and he pours some into it. They smile at each other, as Jack replaces the coffee pot. Jack looks at the table, putting some bacon and scramble eggs on his plate. He wanders off outside, sitting down on the picnic table. Janet watches him, sitting down next to Sam.

Janet: "So...anything happen, after the rest of us went to bed?"

Sam: "No"

Janet: "Oh, from the way you two are acting..."

Sam: "Acting like what?"

Janet: "Your both acting like teenagers, mucking around with Cassie, taking his duvet, pushing each other into the water and the two of you kissing last night. It was as if there's something going..."

Sam: "There's nothing going on. Were only having a good time, and that was a Dare, so you can used that against us"

Janet: "You didn't complain about having to it afterwards, and that grin on your face..."

Sam: "Right! I'm going to pack, and then I'll go! I'm not sticking round here another minute, especially as he's here!"

Sam gets up, dropping her knife and fork onto her plate. They all look round at her sudden out burst, Jack coming in from outside, to watch her storm off into the bedroom. They all look at Janet as the bedroom door slams shut. She looks at them, and then gets up herself, storming off into the bedroom.

Janet: "Cassie! Pack and don't argue!"

Cassie gets up, following Janet into the bedroom, with her head hung low. Jack looks at the Daniel, who just shrugs his shoulders. Jonas and Teal'c get up, joining them by the dining table. Jack looks down at the table, and then up at them. They all just shake their heads to the unasked question.

Jack: "Guess Operation Woo's kaput"

He picks the plates up, taking them into the kitchen, putting them ready on the side. Daniel takes the hint, collecting up the rest of the plates and taking them to the sink. Jonas and Teal'c go off to their bedroom, to pack their things and make their beds.

It had been a few days, since Jack had given up on Operation Woo. From what he heard from her shouting, she couldn't wait to get out of there. He thought they were really enjoying themselves. He was getting to know her better; she was getting to know him better. They had spent the whole weekend, without the word `sir' coming up, in any of the conversations they had. They were just Sam and Jack, Jack and Sam. But for the whole time, she couldn't wait to get away. She didn't say a word to him, even when he taken her home. She and Janet weren't speaking either, and for some unknown reason, Sam had joined them for the ride home. It of course was a little cramp, but they made room for her. He was never going to understand women, especially Sam as she wasn't even coming near him. She came by his office to drop off her report; she just threw it at him, and then walked off back to her lab. She wouldn't even stop and tell him what was going on. Maybe he'd been wrong about him and her; maybe she had gotten over him. He didn't know anymore, the day he was having he didn't care either. Daniel had try cheering him up early, waving tickets to a hockey game at him. But Jack just turns them down, he didn't want to do anything, all he wanted was to be with Sam. But from the way, she was given him the cold shoulder, that wasn't going to happen. He looks up, as there's a knock at the door. Daniel comes in, with Teal'c and Jonas behind him. Jack sighs, leaning back into his chair.

Jack: "What can I do for you kids?"

Daniel: "Err...we were thinking of going for lunch in the commissary. Wanna come?"

Jack: "No, I've got paper work to do"

Jack sits forward on his chair, picking up his pen, to start writing again. Jonas moves over to the desk, leaning up against the filing cabernet. Teal'c comes to stand next to his chair, while Daniel was stood blocking Jonas out of sight. Jack looks at them; he knew they were up to something now. They were all grinning, even Teal'c was grinning. Daniel nods his head; Teal'c grabs Jack, pulling him out of his seat. Jack struggles against him, but there wasn't any point, Teal'c was to strong for someone to break out of his grip.

Jack: "Teal'c! Let go! Daniel what's going on?!"

Daniel: "Nothing, Jack. We just think you should go and have some lunch"

Jack: "But I've already had lunch!"

Jonas: "Done!"

Jonas quickly scurries out of the room, with Daniel following him. Teal'c looks at Daniel, Daniel nods his head and Teal'c lets go of Jack. Slipping pass Daniel into the corridor, Daniel smiles at him, closing the door as he leaves. Jack frowns at them, straightening his uniform as he looks round the room. What had they been up too? If they really wanted him to go to lunch, why didn't they just have Teal'c drag him there? And what was Daniel and Jonas doing while he had his back turns to them?

Jack was sat in his living room, the lights down low, the fire burning away to itself and a bottle of malt whiskey, sat on the coffee table. He been sat there, since he came home, feeling depressed about himself as he drank away his worries. It'd started raining after he got through the door, he been luck that he hadn't been caught in it. This type of rain was the kind when you step out for a second, and you were completely soaked. It was the beginning of summer, and it was pouring it down, just what he needed. He takes a sip of his drink, leaning his head back against the cushions. He couldn't her out of his mind, even if she didn't want him, he certainly wanted her. He could still remember the feel of her lips on his, she was so gentle, yet it still was a little passionate. He finishes the rest of his drink, slamming the glass down on the coffee table. If he was gonna get over her, like she had with him, he was going to need something else, not a single malt that was out for a quick drink, but the special bottle he kept for his down in the dump times. He gets up, crossing over to the closet by the front door. He just reaches for the knob, when someone knocks on the front door. He looks at his watch, 2348. He hadn't realise it was that late, he could have sworn he only walk through the door minutes ago. He brought out of his thoughts, as there's another knock at the door. He quickly opens the door, turning on the porch light at the same time. Okay, that wasn't what he was expecting, grabbing hold of his nose. He looks up to see her stood there, hands on hips and tapping her foot off the floor. She was defiantly annoyed about something, if looks could kill at that precise moment, he was sure he would be dead.

Jack: "Ouch...well, that's a new way of saying hello to someone"

Sam: "What is this?"

She digs something out of her pocket, holding it out to him. It was a piece of paper, with lots of writing over it, type writing with the presidential mark on it. Now, he knew what they were doing in his office, they were taking the letter from his draw. He was so going to kill them, or do something to a very young man, who would certainly regret his new found skills. He wipes his nose with his hand; he looks at it to see a lot of blood. He sighs, wandering off towards the kitchen. She comes in, slamming the door behind her. She follows him into the kitchen, watching him as he washes his face. He washes some of the drying blood off, and then dampening a tea towel, holding it to his nose, as he turns the taps off. He takes a deep breathe, turning round to face her. He was certainly in for a long night, for drowning his sorrows as soon as she storms out.

Jack: "Been practising that?"

Sam: "On an ignoring archaeologist and his ban of merry men"

Jack: "He's going to get a lot more than that, when I'm done with him"

She still frowns at him, as she scratches her stomach and then suddenly stops it, shoving her hand into her pocket. He frowns at her, sitting down on a kitchen stool and motioning for her to take one. She drops the letter on to the counter, pulling a stool out and dropping on it. He actually takes a good look at her; she was wet through from the rain.

Sam: (chattering her teeth together) "What's this?"

Jack: "I'll tell you, as soon as I get you into some dry clothes"

He gets up, taking a look at the tea towel, no more blood had soak into it. He sniffs through his nose, throwing the towel in the sink as he passes it. She reluctantly stands up, following him down the hallway to his bedroom. He opens the door, immediately opening his wardrobe, pulling out a sweat shirt and a pair of jeans, and a clean shirt for himself. She stops outside the doorway, looking round his room, while he was closing the wardrobe. He looks at her, he slings the clean shirt over his shoulder, throwing the clothes he gotten out for her, onto the bed. He motions for her to come in, undoing the buttons on his shirt, stepping pass her into the hallway. She steps into the room, picking up the sweat shirt. He closes the door, heading down the hallway into the bathroom. He shakes his head, taking the shirt off and dumping it into the laundry bin. He looks in the mirror; he was certainly going to have a sore nose for a while. It was amazing that she didn't break it, from the look on her face, she was annoyed enough to do it. He heard the bedroom door open, and then her stealthy foot steps coming down the hallway. He washes his neck, noticing that some of the blood had seep down and dried there. Drying his neck as he turns the tap off, the footsteps had stop outside the bathroom doorway. He sighs, putting his arms into the sleeves; he couldn't be bothered to button it up, as soon as she left, he was going to bed.

Sam: "What's that letter about?"

Jack: "Haven't read it then?"

Sam: "It's not addressed to me, if it was I would have read it"

Jack: "Then why you hit me?"

Sam: "Because Daniel told me, what the letter was about"

He shakes his head, squeezing pass her into the hallway. He brushes against her slightly; he could hear the faint noise of someone yelling. He looks at her, shaking his head in dismissing it as him hearing things as usual. She smiles slightly, actually losing the frown for a smile. He rolls his sleeves up, walking back into the kitchen, with her right behind him. She pulls her jeans up; they were slightly too long in the leg and round the waist. The sweat shirt was extremely baggy on her. She drops onto the stool, pulling the sweater round her tighter. He opens the fridge, taking out two bottle of beer, and then closes it. Sitting down on his stool, he hands her a beer, opening his own, and taking a long swig from it. She opens hers, playing with the top, while she waits for him to explain. He looks at her, and then picks up the letter, rereading it for the umpteenth time. He sighs, folding it up, and shoving it into his pocket.

Jack: "It's my birthday present from the president. He said I could have whatever I wanted, and I want...you"

Sam: "Yeah, but what does that letter mean?"

Jack: "It means that I can take you out, kiss you under the stars at night, I can pull you out to hockey games and make you sit there with me, discussing the finer points of scoring a goal. I can..."

Sam: "Okay, okay. God, I get the message. Gee...you've been thinking a lot about this"

Jack: "There's thousands still left on the list"

She takes a sip of her beer, she look as if she was about to collapse or something. He was still waiting for her to storm out, slamming the door behind her as she went. But she wasn't moving, just staring at the label on her beer, as she picks at it. What happen to the frown, and the temper that came with it? He could hear something murmuring, like a voice or something. He turns round to see if the radio was on, no the power light wasn't on. He shakes his head, he was slowly losing it. She slowly starts grinning, nodding her head in agreement with something.

Jack: "Err...Carter. What are you nodding your head at?"

Sam: "Nothing, just agreeing with my self. Erm...that letter, were ever going to tell me about it?"

Jack: "Well, I was and then you made your feelings about me quiet clear. I f you didn't want to be at the cabin, you could have just told me, instead of shouting it out loud at everyone"

Sam: "What? No, I wasn't talking about you. Janet was talking about us, and I couldn't stand to listen to anymore"

Jack: "Why? What was she saying?"

Sam: "Oh, just going on about me and you. How we were acting towards one another, and other things we were doing"

Jack: "Acting?"

Sam: "She said we were acting like teenagers, pushing each other into the water and me taking your duvet. That sort of thing"

Jack raises his eyebrows, taking a sip of his beer. He thought it was going to be something much worse, but why would she get annoyed about that? In a way, Janet had been right, but he had plan most of the stuff they gotten up to, like he planned most of the touches and conversations he'd had with her as well.

Jack: "What's wrong with that? She was right in a way"

Sam: "Yeah, but that was when it was Colonel and Major. Can't be anything else except work colleagues and maybe friends"

Jack: "Err...not necessarily"

She frowns at him, pulling her sleeves up her arms. He slowly takes a sip of his beer, when he needed Daniel the most, telling him what to say. She's nodding her head again, was she taking to herself, she was murmuring something to her sweat shirt. Has she completely lost it, or is it just him?

Jack: "Carter? Are you talking to my sweat shirt?"

Sam: "No"

Jack: "Oh, right"

Sam: "What do you mean, not necessarily?"

Jack: "Well, when I received the letter, it was instantly in place. So, I could have came and kiss you there and then, and no one could have said anything about it"

Sam: "Yeah, but you didn't received this till today"

Jack: "Erm...remember the day I shoved that sock in your face?"

Sam: "How could I forget? I couldn't get rid of the smell; I had to shower about ten times before I got rid of it"

Jack: "Well, I got it from Hammond, as soon as we came back from our mission"

Sam looks at him, a little gob smack as she grabs the counter top, to keep her from falling off the stool. Jack sighs; the worse part was over, well so he was hoping. As long as she didn't get up, punch him in the nose again, and then walk out. She slowly closes her mouth, looking down on the counter top as she tries to regain her composure. She takes a deep breathe, looking up at him. He smiles slightly, and then looks down at his beer.

Sam: "So up at your cabin, we could have?"

He just nods his head, taking a sip of his beer. She bangs her fist off the counter, looking draggers at the fruit bowl. Jack jumps a little, he wasn't expecting that, actually most of the things she did, he never expected. She shakes her head, rubbing her hands over her face and then through her wet hair.

Sam: "I knew I shouldn't have had that last bottle. I should have try to stay with a straight head"

Jack: "Huh? What?"

Sam: "I blame Janet, it's always her fault, when in drink that much. I knew as soon as she brought that wine, I was going to miss out on something"

Jack: "Hey! Male here, doesn't get what you're talking about"

Sam: "Daniel, shut up! I'm the one who's talking to him! Well I don't care at the moment, if Jonas playing with my bike. I'm trying to sort my love life out here. Oh, shut up"

She reaches under her top, pulling at a wire and pulling the transmitted out of her back pocket. She places it down on the counter and then pulls the ear piece out of her ear. She shakes her head, placing the ear piece on the counter next to the wire. Jack just frowns at it, what the hell was going on? This was defiantly something he wasn't expecting, especially form her. She could always come up with something to say, hell she probably knew most of the words in the dictionary. She rubs her ear, getting her self into a comfortable position at the same time. He picks up the mic, she watches him with a slight frown on her face. He looks at her, and then down at the mic.

Jack: "DANIEL! TURN THAT FLAMING EQUIPMENT OFF! AND GO HOME! BEFORE I COME OUT THERE AND GIVE UP WHAT FOR!"

He turns the transmitted off, throwing it down onto the counter. Sam couldn't help but grin at him, he shakes his head taking in a deep breathe and then slowly letting out, to calm himself. He looks at her, that smile of hers was infectious; he'd have to remember to tell old Doc Fraiser about it.

Jack: "Now, where were we? Ah...yes. Sorting your love life out"

Sam: "Well, our love life"

Jack: "Huh? Okay, I may have said this before. But male over here, does understand what you're going on about. I might be subtle about something's, but that's being extremely subtle, if you ask me"

She shakes her head, getting up off her stool, pulling her jeans up as she walks towards him. He turns round to face her on his stool. They were the same height, as he was sat down. She stands their in front of him, still shaking her head as a smile sweeps across her face. He didn't think it was that funny, he was actually being serious with her, and he had no idea what she was going on about. He was still waiting for her to storm out, after hitting him in the nose again.

Sam: "Here, I'll put so you can understand"

With that said, she pulls him off his stool, clasping his lips before he could say something. He stands up, a little shock at first, then soon realises as she wraps her arms round his neck. He closes his eyes, wrapping his own arms around her, pulling her closure to him. He slowly moves his hands under her sweat shirt, slowly moving his hands up and down her back. They slightly pull away from one another; she rests her head onto his chest, as he rests his on top.

Jack: "Now I understand. Why couldn't you just do that in the first place? It would have been a lot simpler"

Sam: "Why do it the simple way, when you can do it the hard way"

Jack: "Didn't I say that once?"

Sam: "No, my dad did"

Jack nods his head, looking down at her as she looks up at him. She kisses him on the chin, and then runs to the front door. He frowns at her, as he follows her to the front door. He turns the corner to find it wide open, and lots of shouting outside. He couldn't believe it was still raining, as he goes outside to investigate. She was holding something under her arm, and was doing something to it. He gets a little closure, seeing the object to be someone's head, Jonas's head to exact.

Sam: "What have I told you about my bike and your hands?!"

Jonas: "I didn't touch it! I swear! I didn't even go near it! I was...polishing it!"

Jack: "Sam let go of him!"

She looks up, letting go of Jonas as Jack came to stand in front of them. Jonas immediately runs behind him, grabbing hold of him for protection. Sam places her hands on her hips, looking draggers at Jonas. Jack just shakes his head, turning to face Jonas.

Jack: "Go back to the base, Jonas"

Jonas: "But..."

Jack: "Go, before I put in head lock. Believe me; you don't want me to do that"

With that, Jonas went running down the street, to a van park at the end of the street. Jack shakes his head, heading back up to the house. Sam looks up at the sky, looks at him and then follows him inside. He gets inside, shaking his hair of the drips. She comes in behind him, closing the door behind her. He turns round to face her, as she steps towards him.

Jack: "So, what now?"

Sam: "Well, we could always..."

She places her hand round his neck, pulling him down towards her. He smiles, as he gently kisses her, putting his arms around her. She pulls him down further, deepening the kiss, as she slowly walks him backwards. He lets a chuckle out, slipping his hands under the now damp sweat shirt. She runs her hands over his chest, slipping her hands under his shirt, pushing it down his arms. He lets it slip to the floor, turning them round as they enter the bedroom. He kicks the door shut, behind him as they drop onto the bed.

Jack slowly woke up, to the sunlight pouring in through the cap in the curtains. He smiles to himself, remembering the night before. He could feel her leaning on his back, with her arm drape over his, with their fingers intertwine. He sighs, feeling at peace with himself. He glances at the clock, 0756hrs. It settles back into the pillow, closing his eyes to go back to sleep. Then they suddenly open again, he was late, they both were late. He jumps out of bed, quickly grabbing some clean boxes from the dresser draw, as he passes it to the bathroom. Sam slowly comes round, feeling round the bed for him. She frowns when she doesn't find him, she open her eyes, still a little out of it as she looks round. She could hear the water running in the shower, and then suddenly he came shooting out, grabbing something off the side and then running back into the bathroom. His head pops round the doorframe.

Jack: "Quick! Were late, and I mean late!"

He disappears again, the sound of the shower stall door opening and then closing. She turns over, looking at the bedside clock. She shakes her head, dropping her head back into the pillows, closing her eyes to let sleep take her again. Then her eyes open, jumping out of bed, searching the floor for her underwear. She finds them, placing them on the bed as a cell phone starts ringing, somewhere in the house. Then the pager on the bedside table, a ringing noise and a beeping noise was coming from under the bed. Jack suddenly appears, drying his hair with a towel with his boxers on.

Jack: "Go jump in the shower, and I'll deal with the phones"

Sam didn't need to be told twice, she grabs her underwear, diving into the bathroom and into the shower. Jack throws his towel onto the bed, while he grabs a t-shirt out of the wardrobe. He pulls it on, as he goes out into the living. He leans over the couch, searching in his coat and pulls his phone out of the pocket. He answers it, going back into the bedroom, to find Sam running round, looking for something to wear. He holds a finger to his mouth, trying to get her to be quite.

Hammond: "Colonel! I've been trying to get hold of you, since 0630 this morning"

Jack: "Sorry about that, sir. I just...got in my truck and found my phone ringing"

Sam looks at him, and then carries on searching through his clothes. A shirt come flying out at him, he grabs it, slinging over his shoulder as a pair of jeans came at him.

Hammond: "Colonel, you wouldn't happen to know where Major Carter is. Her father came through the morning, he came to see her, but we can't get hold of her and she isn't in either yet?"

Jack: "Have I seen Carter? Err..."

Sam looks at him, driving under the bed; she answers her phone as she crawls out from underneath it.

Sam: "Hi dad. I didn't expect you back. No, no. I'm just stuck in traffic, nothing to worry about. Yeah, I'll be there soon. Yeah, I love you too. Better go, traffic's moving. Yeah, bye"

She ends the call, dropping the phone onto the bed. Jack stands there nodding his head, as he searches through the wardrobe for something for her to wear.

Hammond: "Yes, sir. Yes, right. I'll be there as soon as I put the phone down. Yes, sir. I promise. Bye"

Jack ends the call, throwing the phone onto the bed. He digs around in the back of the wardrobe, pulling out an old pair of jeans. He hands them to her, as he grabs a pair for himself. He watches her put them on; they fitted perfectly as she fastens them up. He puts his own on, hoping to the bed, as he slips one leg in and then the other. She starts giggling, as she pulls t-shirt on. He grabs his phone, slipping into his pocket as he passes hers. He slips his arms into the sleeves into his shirt, as he goes out into the living room. Sam follows him, tucking the t-shirt into her jeans. Jack picks his jacket up, shrugging it on as he picks his keys up. Sam stamps her foot, running back into the bedroom, grabbing her pager and keys, and then running back into the living room. Jack holds the door open for her, smiling at her as she goes through. She smiles back at him, as he closes the door and follows her down to his truck, while she goes to her bike.

Jack: "I'll meet you there"

Sam: "Last one there buys coffee"

Jack quickly jumps in his truck, reversing down the drive, while she sped off on her bike. So I guesses Operation Woo, was a success after all. Jack got the girl he wanted, she got the man she wanted, Daniel and Jack had sore noses for about a week afterwards and Jonas learnt never to touch Sam's bike, until next time that is.
