I really enjoyed the interaction between Jacob/Selmak and Daniel this chapter. I've always like the onscreen rapport between the two, and I think you capture it well. In particular, I like the internal dialogue between Jacob and Selmak, and how you manage to highlight the differences in their personalities.
Author's Response: Writing that Jacob/Selmak chapter was probably the most fun I've had with fanfic so far. I'm very pleased that you enjoyed it and that the personalities and rapport worked for you. The show never really gets to explore host/symbiote interactions, which is a shame. Thanks for the review.

Finally had a chance to catch up on some reading, and I was delighted to see another of your stories. This is nicely plotted, with good timing, and excellent dialogue. I am not a big fan of 'ship, but you do it very nicely, so I'm enjoying this. Looking forward to the next chapter.

I'm really enjoying this so far. There aren't nearly enough good Daniel/Sam fics out there.
One of the things I love about this one is that you're doing a good job of balancing the story between all the characters.
Also, you're characterizations are solid, especially in the case of Jacob/Selmak. Looking back at Jacob's reaction to Daniel in some of my Stargate DVDs, I could easily see him (them) picking up on the sparkage between Daniel and Sam.
Author's Response: Glad you're enjoying it. I try hard to include the whole team as much as possible, and I think solid characterizations are the most important aspect of writing fanfics, so I'm really happy that you think I'm getting it right, at least in this story. Thanks!

I don't understand why you think Daniel/Sam is a tolerable pairing. You write well, but this story would be so much better if Jack had been the one Zipacna took over and if he were Sam'sl ove interest.
Author's Response: Thanks for the compliment on my writing. As for the characters used and the ship preference, we'll have to agree to disagree. Luckily for you, there's no shortage of Sam/Jack stuff on this site and others, and I'd bet big that you can find several with Jack as a host and Sam as the love interest, or vice versa. If not, you could try writing one. Thanks for the review.
