I really, really enjoyed your tag for Ascension. Knowing this story is here makes the episode much easier to watch.

Well, the story was good.  But I think Sam let Jack off the hook waaaay too quickly and easily.  She should have let him suffer for what he helped the NID do to her and her home.  And walking into her home and ORDERING her to get up and go with him - I'd have kicked the crap out of him, and then walked out and left him lying on the floor licking his wounds and macho male ego and then gone to a hotel and let him suffer.  Sam did nothing at all wrong re Orlin, and she absolutely DID ask for Jack's help and he wouldn't believe her; he failed her miserably, and there is absolutely no reason for her to feel guilty or apologize for wanting to feel a little special after all the time he'd spent pushing her away and being so cold to her all the time.  Jack is at fault here all the way as far as I'm concerned.  Sam's only fault (if it is one) is that she's way too quick to forgive.

Excellently written story. A must read for all jack and Sam fans.
