Heliopolis: News

Beginning 01 December 2007, I will be running a fanfic challenge and contest for Heliopolis. There will be a selection of challenges, and prizes for winning stories in several categories, as chosen by visitors to the site. Prizes will include DVDs, gift certificates to Amazon.com, paid livejournal time, and more.

If you would like to suggest a challenge and/or sponsor a prize for the contest, feel free to do so in comments to this livejournal entry. Anonymous entries are allowed, if you include your e-mail address. Comments will be screened to allow this, so that your information will be private and challenges will be a surprise. I hope to have many categories, entires and prizes, so, I hope that everyone will participate.

Things are going well. My financial aid came through for the year and there was just enough to buy myself a new laptop and a cable modem. I am trying to scrape together the money now to get cable installed in my new apartment, as the people who renovated it after the fire failed to run the actual cables. I hope to do that before Thanksgiving, as I will be out of school for the week and have time to work on the archive.

Then there is a week before finals and then a month where I don't have school and work competing for my time. I am doing my best to catch up on all of the comments and bug reports that I have in my inbox, but I am having problems sending out confirmation e-mails at the moment. Feel free to drop me a line if you have a particular interest or issue.

I have corrected several stories and series today, as well as hunting down missing parts and/or chapters. If you come across a story with parts missing, please jot the title and author into a comment box and I will do my best to take care of it. Stories mentioned by name get first priority, and a link is even better. It's just easier for me to work on the issues, if I don't have to hunt them down first.

Hope you all are well and are surviving the first year without a new SG-1 season. It's kind of strange for me....
