So I went off camping no internet and you finished the story. It was an awesome story loved it. But you didn't answer the paternity question though with that woman I am not sure I would believe the results if I ran the test myself. Awesome story thank you for posting it.
Author's Response: LOL I'm sneaky that way. I hope you had fun camping. I am jealous. I have to admit that I don't recall settling that paternity test, or worrying about it for that matter. Thanx for pointing it out. I hope I speak for most readers when I say that Jack, being as wise as he is, must have felt certain that the pregnancy was a ruse or that the baby was not his. Anyway, if you don't mind, let's leave that question behind and move on to bigger and hopefully better stories. Thanx once again for all your reviews. If I don't respond to each one, it is because I am busy decorating my new house and writing another Captain Jack story. Now stay tuned for another blast from the past.

LOL now there is an interesting insight into Sam's mind of course she gives not thought to the fact she never gave the man a chance just made choices. Waiting to see where this is going. Love it so far some angst that I can imagine Jacks reaction when he finds out about the Baby. lol Paitence is fidgeting around a wee bit. Tomorrow is a long way away!! ;)

The readers who come to this site, and also samandjack.net, don't review nearly as often. It's a shame, because I made a lot of friends that way...and a few enemies too. *looks around sheepishly*

Now that was an interesting series of stories. I did not like Sam's behavious and was not happy that she was so easily turned to be with someone else while engaged to Jack but then it is just me I personally do not like people who cheat but as the story progressed I could overlook that and was so happy to find out that she was actually Jack daughter. Jacob was just ugly in this story. lol But he also was redeemed in the end and Jack needed a good head shake himself but you pulled it all together and it was good reading. Loved it as usual and look forward to more stories.
Author's Response: Yes, I did make Jacob a bad person in this one. I had fun writing him that way. As for Sam, I prefer to show my characters as real people, and people do bad things and make mistakes. I refuse to turn Sam, or Jack for that matter, into perfect beings who never do anything selfish or hurtful. I know some readers don't like to read bad things about their favorite heroes, but I think stories where their behavior is always beyond reproach are boring stories. That's just the way I am, and I am always glad when readers like you are willing to try something different. Thanx for reviewing and for the five star rating. xo
