Your first attempt at smut? Damn, you nailed it! *snort* Ummm... not an intentional joke, I swear! Lol.

Author's Response:

Is this the part where I make a screw joke to go with the nail?  :)
Glad you enjoyed the story.  Thanks for the review.

What can I say...that was amazing.  I am speechless and did I say amazing already...

Author's Response: LOL.  Thanks.  Glad you enjoyed it.

OMG that was so amazing!!  I can't believe it that was amazing.  Damn.  God.  Incredible.  I meant for that to be a complete sentence.

Author's Response: LOL.  Thanks.  Glad you liked it.  I'm sure Daniel appreciates your sympathy for his lack of complete-sentence-forming ability.

lol no wonder you didn't post this on FF!

Nice story. Very well written.

Great work!

: )

Author's Response:

There was a bit of a debate on whether this would actually violate ff.net standards.  Eventually, caution won out and it ended up here.

I'm happy you enjoyed it.  Thanks for the compliment and the review, Gem.

GREAT job..I' m a HUGE S/D shipper and I love S/D smut..god that sounds so wrong to say! But who cares! LOL I have to go take a cold shower now..dang that was so darn well written!! :)

Please continue to write more :)

Author's Response:

Aw, nothing wrong with liking S/D smut...then again, maybe I'm not the best person to ask.  Very glad you liked it.  Not sure when the muse will descend (ascend?) to the smut level again; took a full year to get here the first time.  But we'll see.

Thanks very much for the review.

::blinks::

::collects brain cells from puddle on floor::

Um, GUHHHH!!!!    :)

lol...all kidding aside - this was really, really well done.  Tasteful yet hot.

You and Amaranth have long since dragged me into seeing the light when it comes to Sam/Daniel.  And I love everything you both write.

I do hate you at the moment though - because after reading your author's note mentioning "Severing" I *need* to go back and re-read it for the umpteenth time - and I sob every time. :)

Author's Response:

Heh.  Thanks.  Melting brain cells seems like a very good compliment on a smutty fic.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Sorry about the Severing reminder.  Though sobbing over it is also nice compliment...so I guess I'm probably not very sorry. ;)

Thanks for the review.

If this is your first attempt at smut, I am MOST impressed. Nice balance of details and vagueness. You've got the tone down. I don't usually like Daniel/Sam pairings, but I enjoyed the tone of the characters in this story. Good job!

Author's Response:

It is indeed my first attempt.  My beta is usually quite annoyed by my tendency to fade out of a sex scene, so it was kind of a personal challenge to see if I could write one all the way through.  I'm very happy you enjoyed the tone of the characters.  I didn't want to lose who they were in what they were doing.

Thanks very much for the review, and for keeping an open mind.

Well, at first it was really hard for me to think of Sam with anyone but Jack, but let's face it - it was/is never gonna happen. And truth to tell, Sam and Daniel would be very good together; they are already best friends, on the same intellectual level, and love each other. And remember, there is a hint of this in the show when Daniel asks her in Fallen. So anyway, if you don't like Sam/Dan pairings, you certainly don't have to read the story, and my compliments to the author! Good job!

Author's Response:

If you're a Sam/Jack shipper, I'm surprised that you've given up on them.  Most S/J-ers are quite convinced that Season 9 and 10 indicate that they're together.  Those of us who prefer Sam and/or Jack in other ships are grateful for the writers' subtlety, if that's indeed what they meant to imply.

As for your statements on why Sam and Daniel could work together, I completely agree.  But then I'm biased.  I married by best friend.

Thanks for the review.  Happy 'shipping, whichever pairing you prefer.

this is digusting! It's like brother and sister having sex. Bloody gross! Get your head checked.

Author's Response:

I'd actually been hoping for criticism or other commentary on my writing style or technique, but I guess this counts as a vote for poor characterization.  I've never seen Sam and Daniel as siblings, but you are entitled to your opinion.  Thanks for the review.  I think.

I would suggest that if certain relationships repulse you, you use the summary, pairing list and warnings as a guide so you can avoid them in the future.
