This is... well... one of the very first Stargate fanfictions I've ever read and I'm throughoutly impressed. This story is brilliant. All bitter-sweet beauty and heart-wrentching sorrow. YOu'Ve got a fantastic writing style and a really good grasp of the characters. I'm a die-hard Sam/Jack shipper but I've also seen the love with which Sam and Daniel look upon each other and their friendship, that's bordering on this very same feeling. You managed to include both shipps into one fanfiction without mixing them up or detorriating them. Congratulations. I doubt I'll be reading much fanfictions better than this one in the futur.

Wow. That was incredibly beautiful, with really good imagery. Yeah, a little dark--but life isn't all sweetness and light. Especially the life of a soldier. Good job.
