I guess which Carter was on Sg-1 did make a difference. Enjoyed story.
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to review, glad you enjoyed it.
I just read your comments regarding my review in chapter 8. I was really not thinking of black ops or military operations, but was thinking more in terms of civilian life. I always wonder at people who recognize that a relative or friend was unstable after the mass murder, but couldn't see the signs before. The 'I new something was off about him'.
I guess under that scenario it was OK to protect the German scientists who perfected the V1 and V2 rockets because we Americans could use them to build our rockets. What use would they have been if they would have been sent to Nuremberg as war criminals---the ends justify the means.
Author's Response: Yes in a military situation I suppose they can say it does. I don't agree. However I know several people who I wouldn't be shocked to find out, some time, went crazy and attacked people. There's nothing much you can do about them until they snap. I haven't ever known anyone guilty of any sort of serious crime so I can't say if I would be able to spot them in RL before they went postal. Maybe we all have the potential and we just need the right (or wrong) trigger for us to flip?
It is really sad what the havoc one person can create that would so devistate and ruin another. Why is it that people who are around can't see what type of person Hansen was. And,I am not just saying Hansen- he is just a character in a story. Why don't we see when there is something terribly wrong with a person only after they have committed an atocity.
Author's Response: My point in this was that it takes a certain type of person to do covert dirty jobs, and the leaders will allow almost any behaviour to keep their 'weapon' safe. It doesn't matter how many people know what he is, he is protected.
HANSEN--Thankyou for killing off the character as you did this early. It appears he attacked Sam and maybe her mother. At least Mark is looking out for her.
Enjoying story.
Author's Response: Not her mother, just Sam, more details later in the story so I won't spoil it for you
Now that I have resolved my confusion over THE Carters, I am so looking forward to seeing how Jack and Sam get together. Since this is a long one, will review every 3 or 4 chapters.
Author's Response: Any and all responses are welcome. Hope there are enough twists in this one to keep your attention:)
Just realized that Jack was talking to Mark. Carter in my mind is always Sam. Now this makes sense. Sorry. No wonder i was confused when reading opening chapter paragraphs. Now back to chapter 2.
Author's Response: That was the whole plan TBH, I actually saw my Beta's face when he realised that Carter wasn't Sam, and I had to smile. Thanks for reviewing:)
Interesting to see Mark as a devoted brother. Wish Jacob was alive. A little confused in the begining. First Sam is talking with Jack about meeting in O'Malleys then there looks like a flashback with Mark and her.
Author's Response: :)
This was a wonderful read. I loved getting to know this Mark Carter as well, he's usually a bit of a prick. It was a nice change seeing such a caring protective Mark for once.
Author's Response: Thanks for your review, so glad you enjoyed it!
So pleased you finished this story. It was an awesome read and perfect. It explored the characters in a different way and I loved the direction you went with it. These two characters meld so well together it is nice reading. Awesome job and I hope you find time to write more stories. With the series ended it is only through the stories we can enjoy them now. Thank you so much for the wonderful entertainment.
Author's Response: So glad you enjoyed it and thanks so much for taking the time to let me know.

What a great A/U idea! I love how worked each of the significant stories in, even though Sam wasn't a member of SG-1. I thouroughly enjoyed reading it!
